Prince Street Café

I was attending a family reunion in Tappahannock, Virginia. It was our last day there and some family members decided to go out for breakfast. Prince Street Cafe was highly recommended. It did not disappoint. Good atmosphere, sitting right off a golf course. There was plenty of parking as well. We were seated right away. The waitress was very efficient and knew the menu well, never getting our orders wrong.I decided on the baked French toast, topped with apples and a side of bacon and coffee.My daughter decided on the seafood omelet and cinnamon French toast.Everything was delicious. No complaints from me.They also have an all you can eat buffet if you like.It was a great ending to our reunion. I would recommend Prince Street Cafe at Hobbs Hole and would definitely go back!

I absolute love the Princess Street Cafe! From the owner and her son to the wait staff the service is great!!! The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious!!! You can't go wrong for breakfast, lunch, and now dinner. I am really looking forward to going to dinner here. Come alone or bring the whole family for a great meal, and great service. So grateful for Princess Street Cafe reopening at Hobbs Hole Gold Course.

This place is a hidden gem and when I say hidden, it's really hidden because it's located inside of the Tappahannock golf course. They used to be located in town before and unfortunate fire burned down their building but let's talk about the positive. Their hospitality & food is amazing. I scanned the menu and couldn't decide because they serve breakfast and lunch but the nice waitress helped me decide on the Fried Rock Fish sandwich . It was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to return and try the rest of their menu.

I stumbled on this restaurant accidentally. I made a wrong turn and saw the sign. I was hungry anyway, so I thought, why not give it a try. I'm glad I did. Very good food and service. I've been back several times since. The best part in my book, they serve breakfast all day.

We went here for dinner because they specifically had NY strip. My husband and I both ordered a medium NY strip. Both came cooked beyond well done. You had to saw through them just to cut. We mentioned to our waitress who said her manager would not remake any steak and would give us a "discount". It took forever to get the food to begin with so we couldn't even order another meal. They eventually comped our meal but we left very hungry and very upset. It's fine if you can only cook a steak well done, but then you need to let the customers know before ordering or take it off the menu. To flat out refuse to fix or change a meal and make us leave hungry is unacceptable. The waitress was very nice. Our kids loved their fresh made chicken fingers, and the sides were fine as well. Our other members had fine meals, but we would never go there again.

We were excited to try a place we hadn't before. There aren't many dining options in the river towns. The setting is beautiful-- on a golf course. We were seated right away. The restaurant was busy but not full. We were warned that the food could take as much as an hour to make it to our table once we ordered. It also took them about 20 minutes to brew a pot of coffee and bring it to the table. We were fine with that as it was a leisurely rainy Sunday for us. My bagel egg sandwich was good but the hash brown casserole had a funky flavor... not sure what was in it that should taste like that?! Everyone else at the table said their food was just "so-so". I'm sorry to say the food was NOT worth the wait.

Well here we go again.. Another morning my wife wants to head out and get Sunday breakfast. So she says let try this little place in Tappahannock they recently made some changes and we should try it out!! So here we are I ordered with expectations of just ok food. BOY WAS I WRONG!!!! Food is amazing the eggs were poached perfectly and breakfast was packed with flavor and fresh ingredients. Do yourself a favor make the drive and get you some killer food!! I want to spend the day here and have the entire menu. ITS THAT GOOD!!

The new location on the golf course is very nice. We really enjoyed the appetizers and lunch. We will be back when we head that way again!

Breakfast item of corned beef hash was store bought canned mush. Veggie sandwich , no basil, rubber mozzarella and sloppy sandwich. Mom ordered hamburger with no cheese. Surprise, it was a cheeseburger. They actually serve soda in a can. And this is a golf course. Hope someone else comes in and makes this an actual reputable restaurant. Yuck.

Service was very good. Food was not what we came to expect. Burned waffle, small portion serving of Creamed Chipped Beef(based on another tables double serving compared to my husbands. We will try again but maybe we don't dress nice enough to eat here.
