Bad pork ribs that were boiled not smoked; fatty and stringy. A waitress that finished every sentence with sweetie or honey. Disingenuous and patronizing.I guess she figured it would enhance her tip---wrong! It was insulting. Baked beans were just a pile of mush with no flavor. BBQ Sauce was pretty good. Do yourself a favor and stay on route 95

I have to admit when we pulled in the PACKED parking lot, I snooped around looking for the smoker. I have very few rules in life, but one of them is not to eat BBQ at a place without a stack of hickory (or at least oak) on the premises. I was hungry enough after driving six hours from Philly to take my chances.Sliced Brisket was tasty and tender, with crunchy bark in every bite. Wife's minced (neither pulled nor sliced) was excellent with a hist of pin smoke ring still visible despite the fine texture. House BBQ sauce was tangy with vinegar. Sides (Mac and Cheese, Butter Beans, Baked Beans, cornbread, yams and hush puppies were all fresh and home made.Surprisingly, this little joint will also serve you hot dogs, sliver, pork chops, meat loaf or trout ... VERY versatile for a BBQ place, and serving a steady stream of regulars, the help was sincere southern friendly. It wasn't until we walked out that we noticed the large barrel smoker simmering in the front of the parking lot. I'm looking forward to the ride back already.

I would recommend this place as a stop on a road trip to any family looking to avoid fast food. Cornbread deserves 4 stars, BBQ sauce is 3 stars, sweet potato tots were 4 stars, and coleslaw was 3 stars. The fries only deserve 1 star, if that much. The raspberry vinaigrette was good dressing, I always get it on the side to avoid drenched lettuce.

This is another of the rare places I ate twice at while in the Ft. Lee area, first night I had the pulled pork and it was delicious! Great smoked flavor, their take on BBQ sauce was very good, different from the sauces I'm used to but good. I went back a second night because I seen that Wednesday was all you can eat rib night, I love me some ribs! Alas, they are the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. They used spare ribs instead of baby back - which is a plus, but they were cooked much too long, the first round portion was more than generous but I just couldn't get past the soggy overcooked texture of the meat.Definitely stop by, the staff was very good, fantastic Mac and cheese, great pulled pork.

Great BBQ! Sides are homemade and great (especially the collards). We've been here twice now, very happy both times. We'll stop by again when we're hungry and on 95. Very close to I-95. Definitely not fancy. A hole in the wall kind of place, but great Q!! I can't believe I'm the first to review this place. It's open a while and is very busy with locals.

Bad barbecue. Brisket was dry. Sauce was sweet. Food was expensive. The inside has harsh lighting & bad decor. Waitress did her job; congrats. Don't waste your time & money.

Never again. They used to be really good, but not anymore. I got a family pack of minced B.B.Q. As soon as I opened the container, I could smell Boar hog. Gamey as hell. Nasty B.B.Q. The buns I brought home had mold on them. Mac, and cheese was like from a school lunch. The collards were o.k. Don't waste your money here. It's a shame, because this place used to be great.

Visiting from out of town. Food was hot. But ribs arent smoked, theyre baked. Meaty is chewy, sauce is bland. Beef sandwich was meh. Potato salad was excellent. My son said his chicken tenders and sides were pretty good. Baked ribs just arent my thing.

Stopped eating at PG2 a couple of years ago; decided to try it again today. Big mistake; pulled pork tasted like it had been refrigerated for a few days. The ribs were so over cooked that it was like chewing bad jerky. I'm out, on the plus side the waitress was great. Don't let the smoker out front fool you I don't think that food will served today.
