Love the fried chicken here, the coating is thin and crispy. Overall a good spot for take out with reasonable prices. The side of mashed potatoes was very small, but that seems to be the norm everywhere these days.

This fried chicken and seafood spot is right next to the Portsmouth campus of Tidewater Community College, where I attend nursing school. It's a convenient location with good food and quick, friendly service. Prices are also relatively cheap. It's not busy most of the time.My favorite so far from here is the fish sandwich. It comes with melty cheese, lettuce, pickles, and tartar sauce. The fish was crispy fried and the bun was nice and buttery. Their fries are great, nice and crunchy. I have also tried the 6 pc jumbo shrimp meal, which was decent. I think a lot of the food here is frozen, and I heard a microwave in the back. It may have just been for the corn on the cob or the nacho cheese I had with my fries. I sampled the mac and cheese and the coleslaw, along with their biscuits. The mac and cheese tasted good but had a funny aftertaste. The coleslaw was both sweet and tangy which I liked. I really loved the biscuits, though. Super good and tastes homemade.They have a good drink selection, diet and non-diet. I do wish they had more dipping sauces.I will likely visit this place often upon my school attendance. I still have to try the desserts, but I always find myself too full. I'm pescatarian, so this has ended up my usual place for a meal after class due to the convenient location and price! Stop by if you're in the area for some fried goodness.

Decided to try the chicken tenders combo today and it was perfect for lunch. Three hot, crispy tenders with hot fries and a can of soda - made to order, came out quickly, and the gentleman who took and made my order was very nice and helpful. Check them out if you haven't already! Just a heads up, all food is to go, no dining in.
