I received a cake for Valentine's Day. I believe it was the funfetti. Omg, it was amazing!!! It was moist and delicious. My friend who purchased it said the owner was so nice. The customer service was phenomenal.

I love Pownd Cakes by Jen! The cakes are flavorful and not overly sweet. I'm not a huge fan of icing, so they are perfect for me with a glaze. The service is remarkable! When I was overwhelmed because there were a lot of good flavors, the staff and other customers were eager to offer suggestions. They are reasonably priced. I got six pownd cakes for $30. I love the small business atmosphere with a magnificent team approach! Jen's is a must-try!!

My brother has a sweet tooth and when he likes something, he will rave all about it. His latest obsession: Pownd Cakes by Jen in Virginia Beach. Being a lucky sister, he shipped over half a dozen of Jen's POW'nd Cakes to California overnight. And, on another occasion, he hand-delivered these cakes out to us on his visit to California.We love the cake flavors and how moist the cakes are. I also like the bouncy texture. I like that it's not crumby either. It's pretty solid. And they are a perfect size.Hopefully I'll be able to visit their shop when I visit VA.

AMAZING cakes. If you are looking for a sweet, rich, decadent treat then look no further! The chocolate is probably by favorite due to how thick and rich it is, but all flavors are quite a treat if you have a true sweet tooth. Service was quick and easy.

Great cakes! So flavorful. Great service. Friendly and helpful. I love all the different flavors. It's so hard to pick a favorite. I go every chance I get. Always fresh and delicious!

It has been a long time since Sophia and I came by here at Pownd Cakes by Jen. This spot churns out wonderful pound cakes and not once have they disappointed us. Recently, they were featured on Channel 13 for their Friday Flavor segment for the 2nd time. With us being in the area finishing lunch at Mr Shawarma last Saturday, we came in to order some treats to take home. Would this bring back memories of old or have us with sad faces?Upon walking in, Jen and a few of her co-workers greeted us warmly. If I haven't mentioned in my previous reviews, it is small and takeout only. The interior is spotless and in front of you are all the cake flavors. Yeah....enough to make you go hmmm....Oh yeah, back to the food. I had samples of their caramel apple and pistachio cakes and said 'I'll take both!!' immediately. And just like the previous stops, both of these selections definitely hit the sweet spot. Both were moist and full of flavorful. The pistachio had enough nuts and the caramel apple had some spice but definitely not overpowering. I can't say which one was my favorite but nonetheless, you will not be disappointed with any selection. Sophia picked coconut and peanut buttet cup and enjoyed both as well.Well, there you have it. Another excellent visit. Always satisfying. Hopefully we'll be back the next time we're in the area. Till next time :)

Was with a very large group that did a morning coffee, crawl and walk. Our group organizer told us about this place and we all decided we must stop and go try it so glad that I followed the crowd.As soon as you open the door, you are greeted with the most pleasant hello, and the aroma of butter and sweetness. There are so many options, that I'm so glad that they have samples so you can narrow down which ones you would like to purchase. Because if not, it would be so hard to decide. I ended up, resisting the urge to buy the whole case, and only purchase two I select it banana, chocolate chip, and an almond cake. I figured you cannot go wrong with a banana chocolate chip. It was so good the Almond One was even better. Don't you worry I will be back to try others and I'm sure I'll have to update my review. This is another place that you must go to

I don't have much to say. I've been here so many times, it's embarrassing. Trust the ratings - the cakes are bomb, largely due to the fact that they're soaked in some kind of sugar syrup (kinda like rum cake). I just wish they were open later; they close at 6pm during the week and 5pm on weekends.

My husband and I are huge fans of Pownd Cakes by Jen, so choosing them for our wedding cake was a no-brainer. Jen was super accommodating and allowed us to try as many cake flavors as we wanted. We settled on caramel (our favorite), lemon, and chocolate chocolate chip. We ended up purchasing a large three-tier cake to decorate, along with mini cakes that we cut into fours so the guests could try each flavor. The cake was a hit among our guests, and we certainly didn't mind taking the leftover cake home. :)

My hubbs brought these home! We got 6 minis for $30. Since I didn't go in to order it or pick it up.. I can't base my rating off of the service or ambiance. I'll rate each pound cake. Pistachio 3/10. Caramel 7/10. Pineapple 4/10. Butter 10/10. Almond Joy 1/10(mine tasted like oil). Cookies & cream 10/10(not pictured). All of them were very moist. Their texture was a 10/10.
