We were seated quickly and served water while we looked over the menu. They have a lot of seating so we chose to sit outback due to warm weather. They served chips with queso cheese and salsa which were not warm or fresh . The sauce was good and made up for the disappointment of no fresh chips.We waited a bit to get our order taken and when the food came I was impressed. I ordered the Pollo Asado and it was DELICIOUS. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the refried rice and beans were yummy. I couldn't care less for the service as i'm starting to notice a pattern with going out to certain areas . I will leave my remarks when I leave on how I was treated. Besides the service the food was excellent... I may go back but for take out only !!!

they don't seem to honor their waitlist. what's the point of signing up ppl for a waitlist if they're not going to honor it? Wasn't happy when people who came in after us were seated before us... but I guess we'll strike that up to them being busy and having multiple ppl seat guests and getting their wires crossed.The margaritas are quite good. Salsa is also tasty. We have mixed reviews on the entrees. A highlight for us was the wonderful mariachi band. Very festive.

Super cool spot near the Amtrak. Service was quick. Restaurant was very clean and the drink menu looked awesome. I got the quesadilla deluxe off the lunch menu and it was very filling. They are very generous on the chicken portions!

Our family had dinner here the other day and it was excellent. My husband got the special and it was amazing. I got the fajitas for two so we would have some to take home. I had a medium margarita and my husband had a large. My only complaint was, I got the wrong drink as mine said it had peppers in it. The area is small so the tables are really packed in. The food arrived quickly and the chips and salsa held us over until it did. The menu is extensive, definitely something for everyone.

This is my most favorite Mexican restaurant in the area! The food is always fresh and the drinks are strong. Service is fast and friendly. It does feel a little chaotic inside at times but the food and service make up for it.

After living in Southern California for 22 years and having some of the best Mexican food, also I'm Mexican-American, I moved to RVA and hated the "Mexican" food this city has to offer. After stumbling upon Potros' delicious menu I brought my family here for dinner when they visited from LA and they enjoyed the food and the service. I can honestly say that Potros has the best Mexican food in all of Richmond and its outskirts.Also ever since the pandemic the service industry sucks, but not here! The staff is attentive, respectful, and overall delightful.
