Release tomorrow Leonardtown's wink at Bordeaux Port of Leonardtown winery A 2021 blend of three grapes all Maryland grown See the back of the label For Maryland this is probably considered a big wine. It's a home run. For me it says - France and California we are coming for you! I think there is only 60 cases after the wine club to sell. Yes I'm coming back to get my case I normally don't get behind a wine with a big endorsement Yet this one deserves it! Really impressedShare this post with your friends.Don't wait for it to be gone! I came from the west coast and sold wine for a living. I can tell you that I didn't think MD would produce good wine and while I still feel like that's often the case, this winery is an absolute exception. Wonderful wine! So many unique varietals. The venue is beautiful, relaxed, and I love being a member here.

I attended a retirement party at the winery.i tried a sampling of the wines, three (2 oz?) pours of three wines in glasses with a wrought iron glass carrier. I enjoyed the wines, and i would join if i lived locally. I asked some questions about their production and was very lucky to get to chat up the winemaker. The winery is a cooperative of local vineyards who is the source of the grape. The winemaker went to school in canada in viticulture and enology, and was very indulgent with an old guy asking questions.it sounded like there were opportunities for interested wine club members to help with the crush and bottling of each years vintage, making it all the more personal

This place is excellent! The girls at the counter here were so friendly and welcoming. The wine was delicious, and I even needed to buy some to take home. They had a live band playing some great tunes, and the location seemed dog/family-friendly. Such a great little gem! I will be back.

Always a great place to visit and one of our favorite spots to bring visitors! Today we are enjoying wine slushies- mimosa, red sangria, and non alcoholic watermelon. Perfect cold, refreshing drinks on a hot July afternoon.

I'm going to cut right to it: the wine here is SWEET. Like, sticky sweet. I have been a few times and tried white, red, wines described as dry, and still found an unpleasant sweetness across each bottle. I don't think this is necessarily wrong, but I am a dry wine fan and was a bit disappointed to find a lack of options away from the sugary. If you are looking for dry wines or more of a variety, this may not be the top location. That said, this is a cute place in SOMD where there aren't a lot of wineries available. It is nice to see a winery pop up around here! We have brought our own picnics and had a great time looking out over the Macintosh Run. While the wine may not be my favorite, it is a nice environment that I enjoy being in. I hope to see the expansion of their selection in the coming years, with a few more options for us dry fans.

I have been going to the Port of Leonardtown Winery for a couple of years now. I've always loved the wine, the people and the fun atmosphere even though it takes me over an hour to get there. I have also recommended it to many people. We love you Port of Leonardtown Winery BUT not today! We got dressed up for Halloween, and decided to go to our favorite winery (you)! We were so, very, VERY disappointed! Instead of doing wine tastings inside at the bar, we were asked to go outside to a small (and I mean small) table right next to tables people were sitting at. It was an unusually warm day for October and the wine outside was barely cool so you were sweating while drinking it too! There was no fan near the tasting table. On top of that, we had people behind us waiting for their tastings. The tasting was so rushed that I couldn't even remember which wine tasted good and what was what! It was an awful experience and turned what was supposed to be a day of great wine and fun into wondering what we just did and totally brought us down!! We didn't even feel like drinking wine by the time we were done. Such a shame when we were so excited about coming. Please, PLEASE put the wine tastings back inside where it's cooler and more people can do them at one time. Also, how about some more fans outside when it's hot. People would drink more wine if they weren't sweating so bad!

Great winery buy by glass, bottle or taste test. Frozen slushy wines, activities, music and food truck. Allot of parking, seats or bring your own, corn hole, read, relax or play your own games. Trees, bees and river to walk.

Seriously, one of our favorite places. They are so welcoming and nice. They have everything from sweet fun wines to serious dry wines. Lots of variety with food trucks, or you can bring your own food. The enclosed patio has heaters if the weather is cool, and they are pet friendly. During our last visit with our two corgis, the staff was so welcoming and friendly, and even gave little dog treats to our fur babies. We will continue coming back, not just for the service and ambience, but for the wide variety and high quality of their wine.
