I went on a weekday soon after the opening at 11 am. Porky's is in the location of a previous bbq restaurant and kept most of the place looking the same.I ordered the bbq plate, which was a more-than-ample portion of Eastern NC bbq, plus two sides. The BBQ was very good, and the macaroni and cheese was excellent. Will definitely dine here again.

Felt welcome as soon as me and family walked in! The food was amazing and hit the spot as we adventure back home from the beach. It was nice to be able to sit down and not worry about my toddler bothering people. It has that small town home cooking vibe :-)

Don't know about the old guy, but the new company is called. Pitmaster is run by a lady named Joyce and she can simply cook. Her country cooking is terrific. The ribs and the fried chicken are just like mom had and the sweet potatoes some of the best I've ever had in my entire life. Prices are reasonable very very nice people stop in and say hi to them but now it's pitmaster not Porky's

This place doesn't even deserve the one star I gave them. It's ridiculous that they would serve people this garbage. I normally stop through on my way back to Rocky Mount, leaving Bertie. The food has always been delicious & very appealing. Today, after waiting in the drive-through for 30 minutes, very patient. I get home to discover this. I called and of course the manager was busy. I'm still waiting for my call back. Please don't waste any of your money in this place. Bring back the old cooks or send the new ones to cook schoo!!

Stumbled upon this restaurant for lunch while traveling through Williamston on way to Outer Banks on 4th of July. No frills, just delicious southern home cooked food served cafeteria style. Had a 1/2 rack plate ($12) and wife had BBQ Chicken plate ($10). Both came with two sides and hush puppies and both were very tasty. Well worth a stop!

first off do not put stock in the opinion of someone commenting who is from California, they know nothing of southern food, or the culture surrounding it. Sure I liked the previous restaurant at this location better, but the quality of most items really hasn't changed very much, some slight differences in recipes perhaps, my biggest issue is their change in dissert selection. Boss Hog's BBQ had a pig pickin cake that I loved completely and that is now gone. but to bring this back to my first point, they "grill" a lot of food in Ca., but they don't know BBQ.

Pulled up at 5:30pm on a Saturday evening and the parking lot was empty, this should had been a red flag. This was our first time visiting and we had been wanting to visit for a while so we took our chances. Upon entering there seem to be more playing than working. We were not greeted. On the buffet style display of food that they serve from, it appeared that the food had been sitting there all day. Nothing looked like it had been stired, everything was crusted over on top. There was a fly hanging out on the BBQ serving spoon. We were told that if we wanted sweet tea we would have to wait a few minutes (5:30pm Saturday night, no tea ... No customers who drank it all... So you were not prepared nor doing your very easy job) I had to walk around the restaurant to find a clean table to eat at. The hush puppies were cold and chewy... They had to fix more for our second order, again, not prepared. Just like most other places in Williamston, no pride in what they do... Obviously owners not taking ownership or pride themselves. Really sad... This place has a lot of potential. It will not last another 6 months.
