Stopped here for a business lunch with two of our vendors. It was a recommendation of one of my colleagues. He said it's great for lunch and they have great sandwiches, so that was my expectation. From the outside, it is just one of many doors at a strip mall. But walking in, they have done their best to give the ambience of a bar and luncheonette at the beach. we were able to find a high top table along the wall that happened to have an outlet, which was perfect for a working lunch to plug in a computer. The menu was small, but with a good variety. I had a brisket barbecue sandwich with coleslaw and homemade mac & cheese all of which was wonderful. Of my vendors had a mahi sandwich which he also thoroughly enjoyed, and our third had the crab soup which he declared to be , amazingly flavorful, and for his entrée, he ordered sliders. The only downside was the sliders as they were patties as you would expect except on full-size buns. It made no sense. In summary, I would say that they did all the difficult stuff very well, and completely missed on the sliders. They should just put a line through that on the menu because there's so many other wonderful things there. And I will be happy to bring more business customers there in the future.

We had some time to kill so my boyfriend and I decided to check out this place. One of the few he hasn't been to. We were greeted instantly. Our waitress was amazing and attentive. Food came out fast and there are no complaints with that! Everything was delicious. It just happened to be trivia night , which I declined at first , but then joined with him. So much fun. Decor was nice and festive. The crowd was funny. There is a full bar.

Nice easy breezy new chill spot. Inviting attentive staff, everyone was welcoming and friendly. Passing through town hubby wanted a quick bite to eat. Point Break came up. This is a really nice new cafe, many tv's to watch games with fam or friends. Happy chatter filed the place good vibes. Ice cold beers flowed to the top of glasses! I didn't get a chance to see the drink menu, but YESSSS the bar had a GREAT selection of brands. Our meals came out quick. Too hot to bite fries came out last. We'll worth the short wait. Nachos with well seasoned chicken covered with melted white cheese sauce, tomatoes lettuce, diced avocados and jalapeños, small side of jared salsa. Hubby enjoyed his chicken salad spinach wrap. I really loved the wood upgrade tables, bar, and hi-top tables. The decor adds to the relaxing vibe. Point Break Cafe is a must go and enjoy chilling out with good food and drinks.

I came here by myself on a Wednesday evening. I headed to the bar and was welcomed immediately. The cafe is super cute with an ocean theme closely mimicking the movie Point Break which is super cool. I ordered the cheeseburger sliders and a garden salad with balsamic dressing. The salad was good. The sliders were delish! I was surprised to be honest. I didn't expect for them to have lettuce, tomato, & onions on them. This place seemed pretty cool. I would come back next time when in the area.

The cafe is very well lit and comfy. We were welcomed immediately and found ourselves a table towards the back. Our server got to the table quickly and was able to answer all our questions about the menu. Dad got a tall beer and I chose water. We got the friend pickles as an appetizer and they were good but a little heavy on the breading for my preference. Dad got the club with onion rings and said it was tasty. The onion rings were definitely on point. I got the Hawaiian burger which I very much enjoyed. I think next time I'll ask for extra teriyaki sauce and the fries were sooo good. I needed more of them for sure. I will definitely be back.

I didn't know this place was here and happened to notice when I left my doctor's office across the street. So happy I was hungry and had the time to check them out. My tuna sandwich was delicious. The fries came out hot and crispy. All the staff that helped me were very friendly and engaging. It's a combination cafe feel with a bar. TVs to enjoy your sports on, too. Check them out!

Stopped in a couple times for drinks and appetizers. Had the lunch special chili dogs. Food was good. Atmosphere was good. Been coming here a few years now through all the name changes and one thing that has renamed constant is our bartender, Brittany. She is always great and social.

I brought my family for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and was a bit disappointed that they were serving from the brunch menu since the regular menu had some interesting options. Service was friendly enough but on the slow side coming out of the kitchen. The waitress was not very familiar with the menu options and could not make recommendations. Our food: mahi-mahi and grits came with a lunch sized portion of fish, about 4 oz. (?) served with a relish/garnish over cheesy grits; both fish and grits were on the dry side. There was also a small portion of a sauce in the bowl; maybe it dribbled off the garnish. That sauce was too sweet for me but could be remedied with generous pours of Texas Pete hot sauce. The shrimp and grits featured the same grits which were dryer than we like but the shrimp were okay. My wife did not notice any overly sweet sauce on hers, although she had the same garnish over the shrimp. Both of the seafood-and-grits dishes came with fried potatoes/ home fries which the kitchen neglected to send out with the bowls. We had to wait about 10 minutes for the potatoes to be served. The chicken fried steak sandwich should have been pounded flatter before cooking as the meat was thicker and tougher than it should have been. Breakfast bowl with sausage, egg, and potatoes was okay; nothing special. The blueberry-bourbon sauce was not too sweet to enjoy with it. Although we did not have alcoholic beverages, they have an interesting assortment of novel cocktails, most or all of which have a summer-y beach vibe to them, and nearly all are sweet. There was a good variety of canned and bottled beers on the drink menu, too, though I cannot comment on how well stocked they were on them. Ambience was a comfortable suburban bar and grill setting. All tables but one were high tops. About half of the stools at the high tops had backs to them; the others were backless stools. Although I was not thrilled with my first experience here, I plan to return some day and give them another chance so I can try one of their signature cocktails and some things off their regular (non-brunch) menu.

The first time there, it was ok and seemed like a nice place to go. Food was good, service was slow, atmosphere was loud. This second time here, the food was tasteless, service was still slow and the atmosphere was nonexistent. Hardly anyone there. In fact the cooks/kitchen help were hanging out in the seating area. The wife got the mango mahi and it had absolutely no taste. I got a chicken sandwich that should have been very Cajun and was as bland as pasteboard. Will not be back.
