We were in town for a volleyball tournament and wanted a place to the athletes and parents to gather for a dinner. Plaza Azteca was very accommodating for our group of 22 people. All at one table and was able to separate checks for each family. The food was brought out in a timely manner and was delicious. Not a single complaint from anyone. Highly recommend!

The inside made me feel like I was in Mexico. It looked authentic. I heard the ac but didn't feel it, this was the only downside but I enjoyed everything so much that I didn't mind. The waitress was kind, patient, knowledgeable. I asked for a sample of the guacamole and she gave with no problem, the chips were warm and the salsa was delicious. All my food was amazing

This is definitely my go to spot. The food is always fresh and good! I always get the Enchiladas Rancheras. It's so flavorful! The margaritas are always on point! The atmosphere is fun and happy, like the staff! Everyone is friendly and helpful.

As always, Plaza Azteca knows how to make a banging margarita. This was the perfect spot for me and a friend to let out hair down, chat over some good food and sip on a margarita. Today, I had the mango frozen margarita. I noticed the guy didn't ask if I wanted sugar or salt on the r8m, they normally ask, but he didn't and I was actually fine with that.My food was pretty good, I asked for a la carte quesadilla, and rice and beans. All three things were a la cart, I wish the quesadilla was a bit larger, but it taste good either way.This was a great start to the weekend.

The decor was beautiful but that was it..... Service was subpar I barely saw the waiter. I ordered the shrimp and crab chimichangas, which is my go to at any Mexican restaurant since I am a pescatarian, however this by far was the worst! The two supposedly chimichangas looked like to burritos and were coming apart and cold. The waiter instructed that the plate was hot however my food was cold. Upon eating the shrimp had no flavor, I was waiting for the taste of crab to appear but it just wasn't there. Upon dissecting the chimichanga there was no crab just shrimp and random pieces of onions and tomatoes. When the waiter decided to show up I asked first do you guys use imitation crab or lump crab he just kept saying " that's a crab " don't go here.

The worst Mexican food in Richmond. Overpriced Luke warm garbage. Ordered the seafood enchiladas. That was not crab, though the server assured us "it's a crab." It had the color and texture of an offspring of a potato and tomato one night stand. The food was not hot and there was a random pile of rice on the plate. The server went on several sabbaticals during our time there. The only good part was the restaurant's decor.
