Play It Again Sports - Chesapeake

I stopped by Play it again Sports, located at 1220 Greenbrier Parkway near Volvo Parkway in the heart of Chesapeake to take a look at the new arrivals. They always have a great selection of pre- owned sports equipment with everything from Golf Clubs to Surf Boards and a lot of other stuff as well.The staff is friendly and helpful if you have any questions about the equipment they have for sale.The thing I like most about it is that you can try out a used golf club for far less than the price of a new one.If you have some time on your hands and you are looking for a good deal on some sports equipment, stop by Play It Again Sports, you will be glad you did and you can rest assured that you are supporting local businesses.

After my review the owner reached out to me and informed me that he will take every step to make the experience better for his customers. With this, I would be willing to give this business another shot so next time I'm in the market for sports equipment I will check it out. Nevertheless, if the experience the next time around is less than satisfactory in the customer service category I will update this review again accordingly. I just appreciate business owners owning up to concerns from customers and deserve the benefit of the doubt.

Terrible customer service. I believe in supporting small businesses but this place has pushed me to deal with Dick's Sporting Good from now on, besides Dick's is way cheaper. Stay away!!!

Never coming again. When you have 3 people behind the counter, and 2 customers looking at bats directly in front of you, I thought it would be common courtesy to just walk over or even ask (because that's how close we were) if we needed help looking for something. But no. The three guys just kept playing with stuff behind the counter. I asked how much a softball was just to get attention and after looking on the computer to tell me it was 2.99 went back to doing whatever they were doing behind the counter. I felt like my wife and I weren't even noticed the entire 20 mins. we were in there. And the equipment seems highly overpriced for being used. Only 1 star because I can't give 0.

When returning an item they give you a credit, but never say that credit expires but apparently it does , which I'm not sure is even legal

Been shopping here for years. They are my go-to for hockey, soccer, golf, snowboarding, and baseball equipment. Always find a good selection and great deals.

Rude I've used many consignment shops this was the worst. The one in VA Beach the staff if nicer.

Never had a problem here. They are always willing to help and always have service with a smile.

Leaving this under my wife's name lol because she has the app and an account and I didn't feel like making as when I call play it again all the time I search on my safari (surprised i don't have the number saved lol) I finally noticed the reviews and man I can't tell you how much it sucked to see everyone had something bad to say with 10 reviews total. So I'd like to tell everyone that I've been coming here after I got stationed here for disc golf, I always go here for anything I need for it. All the staff are amazing I notice when just being in there as I am there on average 5 hours a week, I notice that the staff is super friendly with everyone that comes in and are also very knowledgeable in all sports that they have to offer there.

Ordered a $400 football helmet for my son and called to make sure it was the right size. All I needed to know is was the helmet "ADULT" or "YOUTH." I was told it was a youth size. Got the helmet, it was the ADULT size and didn't fit my 10 yr old. Now I'm told that I'm being charged to ship it back for THEIR mistake. Absolutely zero accountability. I'll make for sure and blast PIAS-Chesapeake on every possible media site. I don't like being lied to.
