I really tried to give this spot a chance.Overall, the hotel is great. The harvest Café is very reasonable. The pitchers sports bar is just disappointing on all fronts. On our first night, a Friday night, we arrived at the hotel with 45 minutes until the bar closed. Getting drinks was difficult, but it was near the end of the shift and, so I didn't think much of it. Luckily we had brought a few beverages with us and we went to our rooms and had a few drinks after 11 PM. As a sidenote, 11 PM is an oddly early time to close a hotel bar.On the second night, we arrived almost 2 hours before bar/kitchen close to have dinner and drinks. Nothing went well. Our server would disappear for extended periods of time... Presumably to bus food from the very distant kitchen to the bar. If the bartenders are going to double as Servers/bussers, then they should have more than two working a busy Saturday night. Eventually, a manager showed up to help for a few minutes, but he quickly left again. I had to actively flag down the other bartender to assist us at one point when our bartender was gone for an extended period of time. Even that took more effort than it should. If you only have two bartenders, and you know you're going to each be gone for long periods of time, then you should cover each other and check in on other guests. On top of that, our food took way too long to come out. We didn't get anything complicated, and the place was not that busy. The kitchen is clearly just slow.Eventually, our food arrived. It was decently prepared overall, but our friend ordered the beyond burger and made it clear that she was vegan and did not want cheese or dairy or mayonnaise. Despite this arrived with mayonnaise on it so she had to eat it with half the bun removed. The bartender eventually noticed, but at that point we were starving and she was already eating it so his kind offered to have them remake it didn't really help. The most concerning aspect was what happened to me the next day. I got the Caesar salad with the crabcake added. It had clearly gone bad. I had diarrhea for 36 hours afterwards. The only thing I had eaten earlier in the day was food at Busch Gardens, that I shared with others. No one else got sick so it had to be the crabcake. I guess it could've been the Caesar dressing, but that was for sure out of a bottle and less likely to be the source. And either case food poisoning During the drive on Sunday was not fun. I was still dealing with it by Monday morning as well. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the bartender was nice despite being overwhelmed, and he took 20% off of our bill because of the mistake made and the long wait.Eat somewhere else if you have any choice. The only reason to eat here is if Everything else has closed or you're just too tired to leave the hotel.

My sister, dad, and I stayed at DoubleTree Hotel, so we decided to give the pitcher's bar a shot. The food menu was limited, and we were expecting the sandwiches from the pictures on yelp. Now, I must say, the french fries are great!!! Theyre spirally and fresh tasting. I wasn't a fan of anything else. The "soft" pretzels were hard as all get out to the point it hurt my teeth to bite into them. Shame too because the flavor of them were good. Drinks were really good too, and the bartenders are willing to make any drink you ask. The best part of the meal... Our waiter, PEYTON! He is Truly remarkable, appreciative, down to earth, willing to help, and friendly. He even joked along with us. :) One of the BEST waiters I have ever met! Thank you, Peyton! The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because of the food.

I will start by saying that the service was excellent. Wendy was the only waitress in the dining area and she was pretty busy. This is a restaurant inside the Doubletree hotel in Williamsburg and the service at the sports bar echos the service provided by everyone at the hotel. The food was good and not so good. We will start with the food. We ordered the Low Country fries. The description on the menu had cheddar gravy what is that??? We were worried it would be that yellow liquid process cheese. We were relieved when it was really cheddar cheese over the BBQ pork. It was supposed to come with collar slaw which it did but the amount was a it skimpy. The best part of the dish wears the potatoes. We're expecting curly fries but the "fries" were thick cut potato slices which were pretty tasty. Ok now for the not so good - the Cesar salad. The description was grilled baby romaine and blistered cherry tomatoes. This sounded interesting so we ordered it. Right before our food came we smelled something like a paper fire - turns out it must have been our lettuce because it came out smelling like the "fire". The lettuce was charred and not in a good way. It tasted like gas which must be how they "grilled" it. The tomatoes were missing, but Wendy did bring them out once we mentioned it. They were not blistered but that was ok we needed them fresh to off set the rest of the salad. The salad lacked dressing. It was their take on a deconstructed salad. It needs to be removed from the menu because it is just not very good.

We stopped at Pitchers after a fun evening at Busch Gardens. For a hotel restaurant, the prices are not too insane. My plate of fish and chips was around $14. The plate was served was two medium-sized pieces of fish. The fish was a little on the "crispy", but I like it that way. The food was pretty decent, but the service was a bit of a mess. Our server seemed so indifferent towards everything. Perhaps, he worked a double shift and was super tired. I understand that everyone is not super cheerful, but c'mon. We were the only ones eating in the restaurant part of the sports bar, but it took so long to get simple things like water and other condiments Unfortunately, one of my friend's food fell on the floor so he had to wait even longer to eat. Of course, accidents happen in this type of work environments, but it would have been nice if the server had offered him a beverage or a small salad while the kitchen made his order again.

This place is decent, for a bar inside a hotel. Their prices are reasonable. I came on a slow night during a busy con. They gets props for fast service, but the bar was dirty with crumbs and the bar itself was in some disrepair. Wobbly bar stools and purse hooks at lilt. Despite good bar drink prices, there's big differences in the bar tenders. All decently friendly, but I wanted one do a nice long pour on the drinks while another barely made the rim of the measuring cup. Also, unless I say I am leaving with my drink, I don't want a clear solo cup, I would like a glass. When activities went on at the stage near the bar, the sound clashed with the bar music playing. I'll be back, but don't expect stellar settings. My chicken tenders were good, plate was a bit greasy and there was dried goo on the ketchup bottle.

Worst service ever. Servers don't come over, don't listen to what you ask for and don't bring anything when you ask for it. Comedy club in hotel is good but worst restaurant and bar everNever again

I'm giving 5 stars because I think they deserve more than 3 and I need to raise their average. The staff is super nice. When I came down for a look around I saw the waitstaff in a meeting with the chef and the manager and they were testing that nights special. They care about this place. I know super snobby restaurants that don't do that. It's simple and easy way to get the staff excited about selling the special. A no brainer. Good for them. Bottom line this is a sports bar but the special was not embarrassing and the wings were as they should be in a sport bar. Bottom line is this place has a good solid dinner with a very friendly staff.

This was a beautiful place with a perfect view of the indoor/outdoor pool and game room. There are games in Pitchers as well. I had a steak & cheese sub. This was a good sandwich just not thick like you would expect a steak & cheese. (Not much meat inside) My beverage was a Long Island Ice Tea that was perfect. Our server Gabriel was a delight. Now, it was FREEZING in there !!! Gabriel went to the restaurant manager, and also the maintenance man to adjust the temperature. It was still very uncomfortable. Thanks Gabriel for your excellent service.

Went here because we were staying in hotel and kids wanted to eat here. Which was good for me because I could have some beers and not have to drive. I personally do not like eating in hotel restaurants I usually find them not that good. So I did not have anything fancy just a burger with the curly fries they serve. The burger was good and the special curly fries they have I loved (take note my kids where not big fans of fries) The kids had of course chicken fingers and fries. My daughter wanted BBQ wings she loved them and we ordered her another order. The wings where very good. Rob the food and beverage manager took care of us and was awesome. I have to say even if food was not that good Rob made it a good experience. I do recommend if your staying in hotel to try it out.

I waited 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge me and then 3 separate people asked me if I had been helped. There were only 2 other customers in the whole place. An 8 dollar beer that took a half hour to get. No thanks.
