Picciotti's Pizza

What the heck happened to this pizzaPlace ???? Once my go to place now off pizza. I ordered a spinach mushroomPizza. No mushrooms. Celery chunks on it (not even a topping option so must be by mistake - very strange )! I re heated it and the cheese doesn't melt. Here is photo of it right out of my oven at 350 degrees - like cheap cheese now that is almost not edible. What a shame. Use to love this place. Photo attached :

Awesome za!!! Great NY style crust, fresh toppings! The x-large is HUUUUGE!! The sauce is delightful, not loaded with sweetness and sugar. Tastes fresh and homemade!! Love the toppings! I normally don't like sausage but theirs is awesome!! They thin slice it so it matches the size and texture of pepperoni. Incredible!The reason for 5 stars is for consistency. I've ordered the same pizza 4 times and it never changes. At other places, I always feel like I get different service and quality depending who's working but at Picottis I can say that it will be the same great taste and quality everytime you order.

Ordered delivery tonight. We tried the NY style thin crust and the "Chicago" style. Both tasted good, but if you have ever been to Chicago and have tried real Chicago pizza- this isn't even the same. It's more like really thick Pizza Hut style pan pizza, rather than true Chicago. I'll order the NY thin crust again for sure, and am interested to try their other flavors- but will save the Chicago for a trip to the Midwest.

I can't believe I lived across the street from this place for years and never tried it until today. We ordered the Lasagna Pizza, Grandma's Thick Pizza, Onion Rings and the Toasted Ravioli. The pizzas were AMAZING, from the sauce to the toppings, everything was fresh and delicious. The ravioli bites were great as well, they were nice and crispy. I think we found our new favorite pizza spot!!

I've been to this place many times. It was actually the very first pizzeria that I went to when I moved to VA. However, the majority of things that I've had were very underwhelming. I'm just not a fan of their pizza and pasta, pretty much because of their sauce. The salads imo, are also nothing to write home about. However I gotta give credit when it's due... Their Sicilian grandma's pizza is out of this world and I also really like all of their appetizers. Lastly, staff is always friendly and quick at making orders.

This pizzeria is close to my current accommodation, but I was feeling lazy the other night so I opted for delivery ($2 fee via EatStreet).Delivery did not take long at all. I was stunned when the doorbell rang in about 35-40 minutes when I anticipated an hour+ wait. The delivery guy was really friendly as I apologized for not having turned the outside light on in time. All the food arrived hot/fresh.I ordered the lasagna pizza (yes, that is a thing), the club sandwich hoagie, and a side Caesar salad (average).While the hoagie was okay and served as a filling lunch the next day, the pizza stole the limelight. Seriously: wow! The dough was perfectly cooked and held the toppings well. The pie included macaroni pieces, ricotta, and meat...and it definitely reminded me of lasagna! Very cool idea.This is situated across from the Kroger on Broad, so I'm likely to stop in and try more of their menu soon. Or maybe just the lasagna pizza again, actually.

Ordered a medium supreme pizza and fried mushrooms. The pizza crust is very thin and the sauce does not have much flavor. Not a traditional Italian pizza place. The fried mushrooms are heavily breaded; the inside had cheese and that tasted good.

This is our first time going to Picciotti's pizza. My husband and I both got 6" steak and cheese subs. The steak was chopped with plenty of cheese, peppers and onions and the roll was fresh and delicious. The French fries included in the price were hot and tasty. The employees behind the counter were pleasant and accommodating. Thank you!

Had a blast at this place tonight! Pizza was delicious! We showed up an hour before they close with over 20 people and they made all the accommodations and had our food ready in no time! We trued Cheese, Pepperoni, Hawaiana and Meat lovers.Great people and great service!

Prices comparable to Dominoes, but the quality is 10x better. Delicious pizzas, with an AMAZING crust. Very good quality toppings. We will make this a regular stop whenever we are in town.
