Pho 79

The stars are only for the food!!! And the food is always delicious!!! I'm such a foodie, lord, help me... but unfortunately the service is mediocre.

This is the most delicious pho I think I have ever had. I used to eat pho on the regular too. You can tell they put their love into this broth. It just smells so flavorful and it tastes even better. I ordered the pho with no meat and chose beef broth. I got it to go and it was all nicely packaged. I even got my side of bean sprouts, limes, jalapeños, and a ton of basil. I got a nice little cup of hoisin too. I added a ton more hoisin at home because I love it and I also added a ton of sriracha because I like it spicy too. It was a huge portion and I wasn't able to eat it all so I heated it up for leftovers and it was still as amazing as the first day. Definitely coming back here and getting this same thing all over again.

There seems to be something missing that I noticed during this visit, could be just the time of the day...One thing I noticed is that the served Pho's are more packed with meat. Had Pho #6 - sliced beef with tendons, and it was meaty. Broth was not steaming hot ut rather just warm to hot. The small veggie tray seems to have downsized. Not enough toge (sprouts) to complement the soup.Still as they say on the board, it's ' Pho King good''

Food was really good. I ordered thick noodles with shrimp and pork. It was a simple dish and they did not mess it up.Service was good. Before I took a seat, they took my drink order. Then they in a timely manner got my food order. It was delivered fairly quickly.My only issues with the place were cleanliness and price. The place wasn't crazy dirty but it wasn't clean. The containers on the table that held everything were not clean, so that immediately made me question how clean dishes and food would be. This didn't deter me from eating though.The price surprised me after I went to pay. For a small thick noodle shrimp!pork bowl and 1 drink, I paid $18. That was before the tip. I wasn't expecting that price and I already know that it will be a long while before I return. And that's only because of the price.

So this is the first Pho place I ate at in Virginia, and it was the spot that I know measure a great Pho soup. I can't say anything bad about this place. The product is ALWAYS fresh, ALWAYS flavorful, ALWAYS hot, and ALWAYS fast to the table. I LOVE THIS JOINT. Anytime I am in VA Bch, I have lunch.

Childhood favorite of mine! First place I ever visited for Vietnamese noodles and it's still so good. Service is quick and food is yummy! I had recently tried their banh mi and it was not my favorite (preferences change) but their noodles are an absolute must try.

Great Pho place conveniently located off Virginia Beach Boulevard. Great pho broth - I like everything in it. Quick service and they kept my drink filled.Will visit again when I am in Virginia Beach.

Raw meat!! Ordered spring rolls and received rolls full of raw pork. Didn't notice at first since it's contained inside the roll so I did consume some and got incredibly sick from this. Don't eat here the food standards are completely unsafe.

I really love this place so this is a hard review for me to leave. However, when I go to Pho, I like to sit in a booth. If I come to Pho 79, I can't sit in a booth because I'll lose my appetite because the walls next to the booths are so dirty. They have left over food splashed all over them. I unfortunately have stopped coming here because of that reason.
