Hubby was hungry and wanted a cheesesteak. I've never eaten from here so I came to Yelp to look at pictures before ordering. He got a classic biggie cheesesteak and I got a shorty cheesesteak with mushrooms and cheese wiz. The cheese wiz was amazing and I'm so glad I got that. Also the bread was so amazing and soft. The bread and cheese wiz really made this sandwich. The meat was good too. He called to order it, went to pick it up, and the sandwich was still crazy hot when he got home. I'd definitely order the exact same thing next time. I also wanna try the fries that I saw so many amazing pictures of. Yum yum yum.

Really really tasty cheesesteaks! This place is consistently good. The cheesesteak sandwiches are fresh, loaded with meat, and well seasoned. The prices are fair. The staff is also very friendly. I highly recommend this place for the best cheesesteaks in Virginia Beach.

Philly is a far drive, but at least I can satisfy my cravings with a decent cheesesteak from a local restaurant. I like the online ordering process, but you can also call in your order if you're trying to grab a quick bite. There are always plenty of seats available if you need to dine in. Service is always great (both in-store and over the phone). They really do their best to keep your cheesesteak piping hot upon pick-up. Get the cheese fries. It reheats to perfection in the air fryer even if you have leftovers. These bad boys stay crunchy for a while though as I used to live 20 mins away and still able to enjoy a crisp when I bite into them upon arrival to my [home] destination. Also, get the biggy 16" size. I microwave the 3/4 I couldn't eat for 20-30 sec, then bake in a conventional toaster oven for 8-10 mins at 350F or 300F. You can add whatever topping, however much you want. I personally pay extra for mushrooms because I'm a fun[guy](?). I love this place. Location, service, ease of parking, quality of food, and consistency.

Get the Fuller burger with mayo, oil, salt, pepper, with grilled onions and peppers. TRUST ME. We ate Philly Cold Cuts back when the location was in Portsmouth. They taste just as good as they did 20 years ago! The bread is crunchy. The size is big. Leftovers hold nicely. I will say this is a wetter sandwich. If you don't like a lot of sauce, this might not be the exact sandwich for you. Their meatball sub is also very good. Friendly staff. Many people order to-go, but there is a seating area.

The first time I had a cheesesteak from Philly's I was bit disappointed as they put ketchup on it. Didn't ask for it and didn't want it. The last three times it was perfect. I like my cheesesteaks with extra Mayo, extra lettuce and mushrooms. I love that their cheesesteaks are no fuss, just perfectly filled with deliciousness. Will be back for another round.

We love cheesesteaks, usually get them at Charlie's, and we've lived in town all my life, I'm in my 50s, and Philly Cold Cuts at Great Neck has literally... literally been on my to-do list for at least 26 years when we lived at Hilltop. I've never heard anything but raves and thumbs up for the place. We never made it there, until today. So how was it? Here's my frank and honest review.There were 4 in our party. We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. It's small inside, nice, and we were the only customers aside from one Door Dash pickup we saw.Well, not really knowing what or how to order, I assumed it came with peppers and mushrooms, so we ordered a 16" biggie steak Philly and one 16" biggie chicken Philly. One order of sidewinder fries, and 4 fountain sodas.The total was $49.50. Make of that what you will. I thought it was a little steep. The 16" subs were $16 each.Ok, taste. They were okay. Just okay. No mushrooms or peppers, no whiz, just onions with the meat and white cheese. You can order those extras, but I didn't know they weren't included. That's my bad. So as far as classic cheesesteak goes, they were just okay. And portion wise, no they weren't anything like a big fat packed Philly. Just kinda middle of the road everyday meh cheesesteak. They tasted good, just not incredible, and we thought their size was underwhelming.Now, the sidewinder fries were GREAT! We all agreed they were the best part of our lunch. And the fountain drinks were usually good. Their syrup mix ratio is perfect and maybe use filtered water, but their soda was a cut above, and yet that matters. Anything you are paying for matters.We will try them again some day, and make sure we order it with the works, but until then, we prefer Charlie's, with their bigger, more packed subs, and they come with lettuce and tomato on them. Honestly, we were expecting more. Much more. So many people have raved about it over the decades, but us 4 customers found it good, but no better than the average corner sandwich shop Philly. We were expecting giant 2-handed overstuffed glorious cheesesteaks, and just got regular everyday common cheesesteaks with nothing standing out, different, or noteworthy.

I asked some friends where to get the best grinder in the area and they immediately said this place. I ordered the Italian sub and the cheese fries and they were FANTASTIC I didn't plan on eating all the fries but I couldn't help myself, they were like little fried slices of potato perfection calling them "fries" on the menu was misleading because they are more like seasoned thick curly steak fries and so much better than I expected for "fries." I'll never order a sub anywhere else but be advised they are closed on sundays! Chicfila rules apply lol! Worth it... Highly recommend

Rude! Par for the course these days. Attitude, lack of respect and where were the smiles they advertise?? I certainly wasn't greeted to any smiles. You reap what you sow.
