Weather stripping that was supposedly new and replaced before we picked-up yhe unit.
They cut my ceiling over my dinette when they cut the trim down. The tried to hide it with caulk.
Staff members used out toilet and left it like this when we picked it up.
Damaged the adjacent trim on the ceiling as well.
Installed the decorative block that covered the trim, upside down.
My son wanted to write his own review.
They had NOT prepped the unit at this point. The roof is a problem. I big problem.

Let me start my review by saying, "No, I do not wish to be contacted by anyone else from the dealership, nor do I want to email anyone else to express my experience. I only want to share my terrible experience in hopes that no one else feels the frustration my family and I did.On March 10th, my family and I attended the Hampton RV show. It's always been my husband's dream to purchase an RV. We came across Pete's RV, and we went back and forth with the salesperson and customer service gentleman by the name of Bryan Howe, who was helping us come up with the numbers we were comfortable with. We were trying to finance an almost $28,000.00 RV, resulting in monthly payments of $340. My husband and I filled out a credit app, and Mr. Howe suggested that I would be the only one on the financing end of the deal. Everything seemed just fine; we shook hands, and he ran my credit report, causing two hard inquiries, one from Pete's RV and another from OneSource Finance. Again, everything seemed like it was happening. My family and I were waiting for the finance gentleman to finish a deal, and we were up next to see him. At this point, it was almost 2 hours of waiting to see him. Around 4:35 pm, with almost 30 minutes left for the show to end, Mr. Howe walked up to my husband and me and said that he needed us to come to the dealership the next day (Monday) because he needed to call the bank.First of all, if we are waiting to go into finance, that means that we are signing. My credit has been run, we agreed and initialed on numbers, so I didn't understand the problem at that point. They requested a $1000.00 deposit, and they said that they'll call me Monday to set up the time for me to come in. I asked Mr. Howe that I didn't want to be told otherwise later, and these were his exact words, "Well, if it doesn't work out, you just don't get the unit and that's it." At that point, I felt bad. Why do all the running around and tell us one thing to end up doing the opposite of a bad situation? I agreed to wait for their call.Monday, March 11, at 11:30 am, still no call, nothing. I reached out to the salesperson who provided the phone number of Robert Dascenzo and told us that he is the finance person taking care of our deal. I proceeded to call him, and he said that he would work on the deal and would give me a call later, as if my credit was run for no reason the day before. I continued to get hard inquiries again for Monday. There's no communication unless I call or email them. Mr. Dascenzo responded to my email and requested more documentation from my husband and me. Mind you, I was supposed to be the only person on the contract, and now my husband is back in the contract. No word from anyone else. Thursday, March 14, comes, and my husband calls finance, and he assures him that he was going to send the documents to the bank. Nothing has been done at this point, and still, till this day, no one, absolutely no one, has contacted us to tell us yes or no, you are approved.0 stars for professionalism, for communication, for taking customers seriously. Such a bad experience with Pete's RV. Definitely made that one bad experience for the books. I would definitely not recommend them.

Bought a new Toy Hauler in August and had it shipped to their Vermont location for us to pick up. Got changed $995 for "prep" fee and had to wait until September to get it. When it was received in Vermont they told us the camper had a lot of damage to it. Torn canopy, missing parts, there was a leak and the flooring had been replaced in June (which wasn't disclosed to us) molding was broken, rear door needed to be replaced, a total of 23 items! It is now November and we still don't have the camper. We were supposed to leave October 5 to meet up with family. We traded a perfect condition travel trailer for this lemon. Repeated calls to the Regional manager Kevin with no results. No offer for any compensation for our inconvenience. Stay as far away from this place!!!

If you are shopping around for an RV, do yourself a favor and stay away from Pete's RV. I will do my best to explain how awful our experience was but I don't think my summary could do it justice. We visited Pete's in Chesapeake mid week with a strong interest in a travel trailer. We had pre-shopped the models we liked but wanted to see it in person to narrow it down. The sales associate, Jonathan, was very kind and approachable (he is the only good part of this review). Once we landed on which one we wanted, Jonathan said we could do all the financing over the phone. So next day, we called in and got the application information all provided. We were told we would get a call from the finance manager that day, which was a Thursday. At 5pm, we hadn't heard anything so we followed up with Jonathan. He stated she was prepping for an RV expo that coming weekend and would call the next morning (Friday). Never got a call that day or Saturday. So on Sunday, we let them know we are going to another company. We were on a timeline because we were moving out of state so we did not have time to wait around on them. Magically, we were advised that same day that we were approved and we just needed to come down to sign the paperwork. So we tried to reach out to schedule a time to do that. It took THREE more days to simply be told to come in on Friday. So on Friday, we had a 10am appointment with the finance manager, Christina. We have two 6 week olds and a 1 year old with us. We get to the appointment and she is with another customer and has absolutely nothing prepared for us to sign. Her desk was an absolute disaster zone with sensitive financial documents all over it. We again are told it's because of the expo. An hour and a half after our appointment time, we finally had the paperwork signed. We asked if we could come the next day, Saturday, to pick the RV up. They said they needed to install a tow hitch and that they weren't sure if the service team could fit us in AGAIN because of the expo. She said she would call them to find out and call us back. Of course... we yet again never got a call. So we followed up on Saturday and Sunday and were told to come Monday at 1pm. We asked how long approximately it would take and they said 45 minutes tops. We arrive at 1pm and surprise, surprise, they are disorganized and unprepared for us. They end up not installing the tow hitch until 3pm - 2 hours after our appointment time. This is when they discover they gave us the wrong trailer (same model we picked but just the wrong VIN for their paperwork). So they tell us we need to re-sign ALL of the paperwork. But Christina (finance manager) isn't there so they ask us to give them a few minutes to print everything. 20 minutes goes by and we haven't heard anything so my husband heads inside. The manager has taken another potential customer and completely abandoned working on our paperwork. My husband asks the service manager to help and he goes and does what he can. We get everything re-signed and are about to drive away. That's when this arrogant sales manager comes strutting over and tells us we can't leave the property until we update our insurance with the correct VIN. Up until this point, no one had even asked us about insurance. So we sat waiting for 3 hours at this point with three babies in which I could have taken care of the insurance. So now I have to call my insurance provider and beg them to email me a temporary proof of insurance. I express my frustrations with this manager and he tells me that it wasn't his fault, he doesn't deal with paperwork, it was Christina's fault. Then he gave us the line yet again that because of the expo they are busy. Another manager calls me later that day and has somewhat of a genuine apology but again references the expo. I explained to him that I was sick of hearing about the expo. As a business, if you are unable to balance on site customers with potential customers at an expo, you need new staff or to not accept the expo invite. I should not be cast aside as a solid, paying customer just so they can talk to potential people. He then asked me what I wanted him to do for me. To which I answered, I have no idea. I told him that was his business decision to decide on what's appropriate for someone who was treated the way we were after spending $46,000 with his business. He offered nothing more than an apology and said if we ever were buying another RV in the future to go directly to him. After all of this, we have left state and we get a call saying that they missed three key pieces of paperwork we needed to sign ASAP. So now we have to print documents and mail them to them at our expense because of how completely disorganized they are. I am absolutely appalled that people with no regard for managing financial information effectively have access to our information.

Friendly staff & decent prices but it ends there. Sales was a 2 star, perhaps less based upon follow thru after they have your signature on the purchase agreement. If you do purchase from them make certain you get everything upfront as apparently no one answers email....3 sent over 2 weeks, 0 replies. I had to make a trip back to the showroom 5 days after my 1st email to get the info I was promised during purchase but didn't receive. Please note, they provide a USB drive instead of a hard copy which makes it next to impossible to visualize until you get to a computer. A salesperson reached out after that visit instructing me to contact him if I needed anything. I did but haven't heard back from him in the week since. The sales contract includes $1460 for 'prep'. I questioned the price during the purchase & was told "it takes the tech over 6 hrs because they go thru everything". I expected the trailer would be at least broom clean and in top order at pickup. Not so as the interior was filthy. It was also 'partially' winterized for which I still haven't received clarification of the meaning. Pete's should be embarrassed to let a brand new trailer leave the lot looking as if it had just come back from a long, rainy camping trip.Long & short of it, I love the trailer but not the dealership. I won't purchase from them again.

Don't bother with this RV center! Every unit we looked at had some type of damage: broken doors, steps, generators... Slideouts open without being level, torn, ripped interior components, batteries not charged, so many things. It's almost as if they bought the factory damaged RV's & were just trying to move them out. Take the drive to Ashland

I would like to just say that I hope Pete's RV Chesapeake realizes what a GEM they have in Brian Provorse. We purchased a 2022 Northern Spirit earlier this year and the last several weeks have not been without bumps due to issues we discovered and repairs that need/needed to be done. Our initial walk-thru was provided by Brian. Bryan went above and beyond from the moment we met him. We have hung in there through this sometimes very frustrating process because of his honesty, knowledge, unquestioned customer service and unique sense of humor. Very HIGHLY RECOMMEND asking for him for your walk-thru and beyond.

If I could give 0 stars, that's what this place deserves. I went in and spoke with Derek the sales rep who was helpful and showed me several different campers. We had been to the rv show the previous week and saw a camper we liked. It was a grey wolf 26DBH. He said the other store in Massachusetts had one and they could ship it to our house and we could work a deal. I explained we had a camper we wanted to trade in and the price point we were looking at. He said he had to talk to the finance guy. He came back with way higher numbers and wanted a large amount for a down payment. I explained I did not want to put a down payment and that it needed to be a much lower monthly payment. He completely tried to low ball me on my trade in. He wrote all these numbers down on a piece of paper and returned to the finance guy. He came back and magically said he could make it happen. I then explained to him my gf would have to approve it since she was on the loan with me for my trade in. I left that day and spoke with my gf who agreed that the price that they said for the monthly payment was the highest we wanted to pay. I reached out to Derek and explained that to him.i told him not to waste our time if he couldn't make it happen. He assured me it was good I filled out the application before we got there. I spoke with him serval more times to confirm it was the right price and everything was good. He assured me it was. My gf I drove out there after work and that's when the bs really started. Some guy named Jim who apparently was the finance guy came out with his cocky attitude and sat down saying good news you are approved, like we hit the lottery or something. He then says we need to put at least $2000 down and our payment was going to be $400 a month. The agreed upon and final payment was $315 a month with no money down. Jim then proceeds to ask us if we have some type of collateral to put down. My gf and looked at each other like wtf does he mean...does he want one of my dogs? Jim is then told we have a camper we are trading in and he gets all snotty and says oh I didn't look at all the paperwork. Well how the hell can you ask me for $2000 and say my payment is going to be $400 a month? After we tell him no that's not what we agreed upon he says we have other lenders and he would go check to see if any other company's have gotten back to him. He walked to an office which I assumed was his and about 10 seconds later he comes back and says he needs money down still and couldn't do anything without it. We got up and walked away. That place is a joke, they are worried about getting whatever money they can from someone by lying and being deceptive. They are shady. There is no way they would have been able to ever get the unit we wanted for the price we originally agreed on. Don't waste your time, unless you like getting ripped off and want to be treated like crap. I would never go back to that place again. Jim is shady and the absolute worst person to deal with. Go someplace where you won't just be a number.
