A long standing Williamsburg institution that's close to the Premium Outlets, Peter Chang's is probably my family's favorite Chinese restaurant in the "757." I'm always amazed at the diversity coming here, there's a super healthy mix of Chinese and non-Chinese ethnicities, which tells me that it serves authentic, but approachable Chinese food.Service was OK, though I wish they checked up on us a bit more sometimes for extra napkins and water. Menu is super diverse, but it does seem to be focused on the spicier provinces of China - they are legit spicy.

Came here based off the reviews looking for some good Chinese food in the area. Ambiance is casual and laid back. Waiter was very friendly. Their takeout menus are used for ordering when dining in. I came in for a late dinner and reviewing the menu I saw something off the lunch menu that I wanted. They are ok with you ordering off the lunch menu for dinner. While the food was ok, I feel it lacked seasoning. The General Taos chicken barely had any kick to it. All in all it was an ok place for a quick meal.

Bad evening for the restaurant. Food was bland, cold, and came out in shifts. My wife waited for 15 minutes for her meal to come out after everyone else was served. Service was bad. Couldn't find our server had to ask for help several times. Restaurant was maybe a 1/3 occupied.

Food was very good. We did takeout and had enough for 2 meals. The service was fast. We ordered and it was hot and ready when they said. The dining room looked very nice and clean. We will go again.

We don't think he/she is good student from Peter Chang yet, definitely need to be trained more, # 1,#2 lunch were too salty and not eatable, the kitchen should figure out the balance of the sauce, and make sure is eatable before serving.I would give 1 star, but thinking my generous 3 star will encourage the kitchen to do better job, good luck.

I try to only post positive reviews, because, who knows someone else's taste. I tried this restaurant because of a very positive and funny review on Yelp. I chose multiple items, some standard, some totally new to me. I picked the order up as takeout and had it home and on the table within 20 minutes. Three of us tried every dish. We had spring rolls, pan fried dumplings, scallion bread, spicy shrimp with asparagus, chicken with mushrooms and veggie fried rice. We would not order any of these dishes again. Perhaps eating in the restaurant would have been a better experience. On a happy note the employees were very pleasant.

Very good chicken fried rice. The flavor was spot on, the rice was fresh with just the right amount of diced onions. That was my favorite dish.The pork belly was good. Mapo Tofu was pretty spicy.Delicious! The restaurant was immaculate too. Bathrooms were spotless.

We ate here for lunch yesterday, had a bit of a time crunch as heading to a movie, but service was quick and easy. I had the Eggplant and Basil in a clay pot, and my wife had Chicken with Mushrooms Mix. Both were beyond delicious and served fresh and hot. Portions very good for the price, and very hard to find these days with inflation and food costs. Plenty of scrumptious leftovers to eat later. We cannot recommend highly enough this restaurant in Williamsburg. Our go-to place for lunch especially. Wil return again and again!

This food was straight garbage!.... Everything looked the same like they poured the same sauce over everything!. When they opened the food packages, it smelled like DOODOO!... everything was super spicy.... Like it was done on purpose. And I love spicy food. All the old people could not eat the food.... One had to leave the table!!!!.... It was just comical! The white rice was gummy and the fried rice was like they just lightly tossed the ingredients together and didn't cook it any further... nooooone of the food was edible. Neeeever again!

We went here for lunch yesterday and were very pleasantly surprised. New to Williamsburg area, originally from metro Boston where we had many Chinese food options, and just getting out to try new eateries.. based on our experience, Peter Chang will definitely be added to our frequent rotation! We ate from the lunch specials menu, and had the Mongolian Beef and also Chicken with Snow Peas and Wood Ear Mushrooms. They were cooked perfectly, vegetables fresh and crunchy, and sauces very good, not overpowering. Restaurant was very clean, bright and sunny, unlike what previous reviewers had indicated. Staff also competent, welcoming and friendly. Decent size lunch crowd considering we got there about 1:45. Will definitely bring guests here as well!
