This café looks more spacious and quaint inside than it appears from the outside. They serve caffeinated and non-caffeinated beverages, a good selection of savory and sweet food items, and coffee beans from local roasters if you fancy grinding your own beans. The cafe is aiming to build an orphanage home, so the money you pay in this establishment gets contributed to a meaningful cause. During our stay they even allowed a group of people do a mini performance and allowed them to sell cookies as the funds they make from the cookies go towards the musical instruments for the youth. I appreciate the philanthropic side of this café as I haven't seen that anywhere else. There's enough seating for couples and bigger groups, and there's a play area if you wish to bring your little kids. There are a few books and board games at your disposal and the drinks are good! The establishment is clean from the main space to the bathrooms and is decorated well. The staff members are friendly as well. Highly recommend this café!

Went back with my coffee group and we all enjoyed our drinks, food, the seating area (plenty of seating options and areas including a kid play area) I personally had the chicken salad and it was still very good as well as the London fog drink. My friend had the Brazilian bagel and she said it was vet good! Service behind the counter as well as the people bringing out the drinks were all kind and nice. Overall a great place to gather!

Persnickety Crane Cafe is good. It has a nice decor for people to sit and relax. It doesn't get too loud when the place fills up or gets busy. There's a kids area for them to play which is a nice thought to consider letting kids play. Drinks are ok for coffee and tea. Plenty of foo foo coffee / tea selections. Their darkest roast isn't dark or strong enough for me. Price is ok. Overall, a good place to grab a sandwich and coffee or tea.

My second visit here and I just adore this cafe! Our waitress was so sweet and gave us some good food recommendations. This time I tried the blueberry latte and Parisian bagel. All delicious. Excited to see their expanded menu. Can't wait to come back to try the new dinner options!

I've been coming here for years for breakfast and brunch and it is truly a local gem.Recently they have added dinner as well! 5-7pm on Fridays and Saturdays.Dinner can be ordered prix fixe or a la carte, and they also have a kid's menu. With generous portions, dimmed lights, and the play area available, this is a perfect spot for parental date night. No reservation needed! Just stop by.The staff is so friendly and attentive, the space is clean; and with appealing drink and food options, you definitely need to check this place out for breakfast, brunch, lunch AND dinner!

I have been frequenting this cafe for a few years. Their unique draw for me is a creative play area for kids. But Cecilia the owner has decided to offer dinner from 4pm to 7 Friday and Saturday. So we stopped in at 4 and decided to partake of the amazing dinner menu. They offer 4 courses for under $35, or you can order ala carte. Our bill was just under $65 plus gratuity, with a beautifully steeped mango black hot tea for me, the street tacos, a bowl of the day's soup, always a favorite the potato, and sausage cream soup. We also enjoyed the cheesecake and the assorted dessert plate. Everything had fabulous flavors. The cool thing about this place is you can dine while kids play within site with safe toys unlike the slides and climbing aparatus of most kid's play areas. There is a very nice kids menu. Most kids like their offerings. Their sweets offerings are very unique and you don't find them other places. If you dont have kids or are dining alone the seating areas are such that you can dine peacefully. For the food sensitive or alternative foodies there are tasty offerings that can be adjusted as preferred. My friend doesn't care for vegan cheese so she substituted her favorite on the Southwestern Nutrition Bowl. Really this is one of those places that has it all, a fun vibe, great for diners with small kids or for adults who want to try out of the ordinary food offerings. Even her cheese sauce is a family recipe! Price point is really good because just about anyplace is going to cost you a surprising amount right now. I really hope people who look for locally owned, non chain, food off the grid and great variety will begin to patronize this establishment. They deserve it and you do as well.

A KID'S PLAY AREA seriously blown away. Wish more cafes would adopt this idea. Wow, so in love with this cafe & can't wait to visit again. It's decorated cutely with lots of different photo worthy seating areas. As for the Açaí bowl, I ordered the Beast Mode Bowl. Absolutely loved all the toppings. The smoothie portion was too sweet/too mangoy for my liking but it was still delicious. Next time I'm here, I'll try their lattes & the other Açaí bowl. Highly recommend! Especially kid

This cafe is a hidden gem, perfectly blending a relaxing atmosphere with a kid-friendly play area and delicious baked goods. Recently, they've started offering weekend dinner nights, and it's been a game-changer. You can enjoy a multi-course meal with a special someone while keeping an eye on your kids, who'll be happily occupied in the play area nearby. The atmosphere is surprisingly peaceful for a family spot, and the quality of the food never disappoints. Our daughter absolutely loves coming here, and honestly, so do we. There's something so refreshing about being able to enjoy a good latte and light snacks while our little one plays safely nearby. This has easily become our go-to spot, whether for a relaxing stop before church or a cozy dinner out of our way--and we have no regrets. For anyone on the Peninsula looking for a family-friendly cafe experience that doesn't compromise on quality or atmosphere, this place is a must-visit. You won't be disappointed.

The Persnickety Crane Cafe is a great place to have breakfast, lunch, or just a snack with a friend while your kids get to play, as they are definitely family friendly!Tucked in the back of a strip mall, this cafe really surprises you with the amount of space inside to sit comfortably and boast a huge children's play area, as well as clean restrooms, and super friendly staff. Our lunch/brunch consisted of the London Bagel (good but way too much cream cheese), the Breakfast Burrito (Made Veggie Style), iced Serene Bee Lattes (Honey cardamom-these were delicious!), and the children's Mini-Charcuterie Board (So adorable and just the right size). There were several people using the Wi-Fi, and they are willing to host meetings for you, which is a great option for small groups. A cute cafe area had just opened, which gives customers another option to order just baked goods and coffee without having to wait in the long line in the main room.A great place to relax and enjoy a wonderful treat!
