Pelican Pete’s Mobile Pizza

We had a rare Date night, so my husband and I decided to start the evening off at Big Ugly Brewing since they have beer for the hubby and usually an interesting food truck for me! Turns out they had Pelican Pete's Mobile Pizza (PPMP) so don't need to tell me twice! Not to be confused with the brick and mortar Back Pelican. I had seen PPMP at CoVa Mag's Best of CoVa party last year and somehow missed their table (lots of people, lots of vendors to check out and not enough hands to juggle all the samples). But anyway, while my husband made his way to the bar, I made a beeline to PPMP. - TLC - I was immediately greeted with what they are all about and the specials they had. Turns out they do pretzels too.- Noms - They have a limited menu, with a handful of choices, but I really like that. Know what you do well and just stick to it. Since we were in the mood to just munch and had plans to make more food stop for the evening, we ordered one pizza to share.Meat Lubbers - the toppings are pepperoni, sausage and bacon. They also offered spinach as an extra topping, to add some color to the pizza. The pizza was delicious! The right about of chew and crisp with quality toppings. The only thing is, I would have loved to see a bit more spinach since this was an add on with an additional charge. They kinda looked like basil leaves rather than spinach as a topping if you know what I mean. But it had some great char and some bubbles in the crust which I love to see (and eat). Definitely one of the better pizzas we've had so far in Coastal VA!I'm so glad we caught PPMP at Big Ugly. That's the only downside with food trucks, you constantly gotta chase them, but we will definitely look out for them again!Stay safe, Friends!

Great tasty ingredients on a nice well cooked tasty crust. Bing Bang Boom! Do it! Would definitely hit this place up again.

Petes was at Maker brewery. Omg best Pizzas ever . Hope they come back !!!!!! Had peperoni and mushrooms. Beer cigar, beer and petes pizza Awesome!!!!!

Looks like another wimpy crust pizza. To date...there is no decent Virginia Beach pizza. Someone out there, let me know where you can get a crispy crust pizza that you can hold upward without drooping like a worthless d_ck.

I ordered a vegan pizza & was extremely disappointed. The pizza itself tasted good however it was seriously lacking in veggies. This was a $23 pizza, before tip & it really was only worth $15 max and the crust was super thin. It's bad enough that it cost more just because it's vegan but at least load it up with veggies for customers.

Good service. I love the pizza so well the food is so yummy. I love this food truck, and I love everything about the food trucks cheese pizza is so good and delicious
