This is gonna hurt my soul, because I come here every single time I'm in the mood for General Tso Chicken. The service is superior than any other restaurant I've been too. However, sorry if this is considered selfish but the reason why I HAVE to leave four stars is because of the egg rolls. I'm a HUGE fan of Pork Egg Rolls, but for the past three times I've been there it tastes like beef egg rolls. While I got nothing against beef egg rolls, I love pork egg rolls because it compliments the dish exquisitely. Continue the wonderful vibe, the wonderful aroma, and the world class service, but would it be too much to ask to go back to the Pork Egg Roll that I love SO much??

Everyone has their go-to chinese take out place, and Peking wasn't ours originally. We had been loyal to 2 others before finding this place but chef changes at both had us searching for a new consistent spot; Peking fit the bill.We usually order a Family meal so we have plenty of leftovers to cover us and the portions here are HUGE. Veggies are fresh and crisp, sauces are tasty, and the service is friendly and quick. We've ordered takeout and waiting while our order cooked and this place has a constant stream of calls and pickups and you can tell there are a lot of regulars. It's obvious this place has served the local community consistently and well, and one of the reasons why we'll drive twice as far to go pick up our order from Peking.

I'm making a review for only one dish from this restaurant because it's the only dish I kept coming back for.It's super affordable/nicely cost for the amount.General Tsao Chicken (Lunch Combo: comes with 1 eggroll or soup; I love the wonton soup)It's the better (not best) tasting than anywhere else around Newport News or Hampton Road Areas.And I've tried many different fast food Chinese restaurants.So, give this dish a try!

I ordered the Emperors Shrimp and Scallops $10.95 on menu it reads Jumbo shrimp & Tender scallops sauteed w. water chestnuts in a spicy Szechuan garlic sauce.It came with 5 pieces of Med. size shrimp 4 small canned scallops and 95% veggies mostly broccoli and the menu did NOT mention this! So I called back said I wanted it like the menu said. BIG mistake they brought me a full container of Water Chestnuts with 5 even smaller over cooked shrimp and two very tiny pieces of Scallops. I have a picture as soon as I figure out how to post it. I called again just minutes after the guy left my house and said please just have the driver bring back my 1st meal that he took. It's been 2 an a half hours now and I still have not received my food! NEVER AGAIN THE OWNER REFUSED TO BRING BACK MY 1ST ORDER, OR RETURN MY MONEY. I WILL BE MAKING A VISIT THERE TOMORROW!

Been ordering from Peking for 15 years. Out of all them years I've had one bad meal from there. Pretty quick service since I can pick up a bottle of bourbon from the ABC store a few doors down and cleaning supplies from Family Dollar and my delicious take out is waiting. Always love their Hot and Sour soup since it never tastes the same everytime. I like that type of inconsistency in my soup. Weird? Issues? I dunno but it's one of my many "things" that I secretly harbor from folks. The egg rolls are the usual but with the mustard... "Kapow"! Love the crab rangoon and teriyaki chicken. Like I said, they have it good, quick, and ready and sometimes I even get a smile from the women.

Small establishment, limited seating. It's more of a take home feel. But the food was good, enjoyed general TSO chicken for lunch.

This is our go-to Chinese takeout. Great dumplings! We just walk in and order; it doesn't take any longer than 10 minutes! There are also tables where you can sit & eat if you prefer.
