Pearl's Bay-Villa

We went for lunch and they weren't serving any food, they did not seem very interested in having customers at all.

Drove 45 minutes from Virginia Beach just for this place. The view from the outside seating area is awesome, and peaceful. The staff was friendly and went the extra mile by letting us modify their standard menu for our kids' meals. I had the grilled shrimp, which was delicious.

Travelled to Pearl's Bay-Villa with my antique car club for a scheduled lunch stop for 38 people. We had previously notified them we were coming and had reservations. We arrived the day of our reservation and were told they were not expecting us! My wife and I ordered the fried shrimp basket and a cheeseburger. An hour later it still had not come! Other parties were coming in, being seated and getting their orders before us. Our waitress said the tickets got mixed up somehow! Bring a coat because the dining room is like a meat locker.

Come prepared to relax and wait, as service can be slow paced, but the food is great and fresh. Fries cooked to perfection and ice cold beer. A nice view of the water as well.

We were surprised to find this little spot while out exploring the area. The place is very casual-tiny little marina out front, but our lunch was really good! Had shrimp tacos and fried shrimp-same shrimp for both dishes, perfectly done. Hush puppies were great too. Waitress/bartender was very friendly and nice to talk to. Good French fries too. Would go back if in the area again.

We were told that Pearls Bay villa would be a great and enjoyable spot to go get lunch on the water with beer and a veiw. HOWEVER we drove nearly 4 hours from Raleigh just to be told that they are not open and it was not posted any where and their google still says that they are open. it also smelled horrible and the vibe was creepy DO NOT recommend if i could give 0 stars i would.

This place is called, "Pearl's Bay Villa."A friend and I rode down from Norfolk for lunch. We got there on Saturday at noon right when the kitchen opened. We split the Coconut Shrimp and both of us were very impressed with dish. There were plenty of shrimp, they we're large and butterflied, and they were served with sweet chili sauce... yum! I also ordered the chicken tacos and quickly realized after they arrived that I didn't need to order the appetizer because the portion was more than enough to fill me up all by itself. The tacos tasted great and came with a side of salsa and fries. The only drawbacks were that the place is somewhat hidden (on the Web as well), kitchen didn't open earlier and while there was plenty of beer, there was none on draft. We will be back for sure.

Food and service sucks. Waited over 30 minutes for food when we were 4 of 8 people in the restaurant. Half the food came out and was cold while the others of us waited 10 minutes for another meal and an additional 10 mi items for the last meal. By the time the last meal came out the rest of the people were finished eating. After waiting almost an hour for my food there was tomato on my burger which wasn't that good and had fries instead of hush puppies. I will most certainly never eat here again.

Food came out 40 minutes after being ordered. Orders were wrong. Food was also cold. Mediocre at best
