Peaked Promises under WildKat URL which is her company with bad reviews on Yelp.
Balance never paid so it is considered a client cancellation per the signed contract

Read some of the reviews, not surprised. Earth and Oath now taken down, probably going to be another business soon. Saw few posts in Facebook groups regarding Peaked Promises and the owner. Good luck to all brides!

Whatever you do, beware of Katherine and this business. She is out to scam you of your money and not follow through on her promises. The review below talks about a styled shoot in Washington that she was hosting. For those who aren't in the photography world, it is basically a fake wedding/elopement to try new photography techniques, shoot in a new location, bring to life an idea, etc. Katherine had set up a two day styled shoot in Leavenworth WA. She advertised in a very public adventure elopement facebook group about her styled shoot to get attendees. It should be known that when photographers signed up for this shoot, she only had a deposit and final payment requests. No contract was issued. Two days before the styled shoot, Katherine states on the facebook group that she is cancelling the retreat and "rescheduling". She claims that the Air B&B just up and cancelled on her however you could see the active listing on Air B&B at that time for those dates. Myself and the other attendees immediately started offering other location suggestions and ideas in the area of the styled shoot as we were eager to photograph there. Katherine refused to do this because she wanted content at the Air B&B. After the dates passed, I continuously attempted to reach out to her and provided my availability for reschedule. I requested refunds and she made me feel bad that she was loosing money over this and that all the items she purchased for this shoot couldn't be used. As a photographer joining the retreat, not under contract or having directive control in the shoot planning, I should not be financially responsible for issues that arouse that prevented the styled shoot from occurring. Especially when the other attendees were still willing to shoot those days at other locations. Months later I am still trying to get ahold of her. She has blocked me across several platforms as well as my phone number. She doesn't respond to my emails. I have requested refunds via the method of payment. Whatever you do. Do not hire her. Do not go to her styled shoots!!!!!AND this is her second business. Her initial business, WILDKAT PHOTOGRAPHY was closed due to similar reviews and issues that you will read about her. She is not to be trusted and quite shady. Hope this saves someone else from loosing money!

Back in January, I decided to get out more and do some retreats. I asked you all if there were any going on this year and I had a bunch of you message me. One stood out to me particularly and I messaged her right away. It was a retreat in Washington and it included backcountry hiking and capturing a styled elopement.I was so excited when she messaged me back stating she had a spot available and sent me an email for the payment. I paid $387.50 on January 8th and the other half $387.50 was due April 5th which I had paid as well (on time). She also never sent a contract or anything stating the trip was non refundable. I should also add while planning this trip I had emailed her twice about where and what time I would be meeting her since I would be coming all the way from Indiana. She never answered me.I found out two weeks prior to the trip that my doctor didn't think it was the best for me to be traveling and especially hiking while being at high risk for my pregnancy. (Also, I had found out I was pregnant in April)I emailed her on April 19th stating that I would not be able to attend the trip as the doctor wanted me to be on bed rest. I never received an email and proceeded to message her through messenger on Facebook and messaged her twice. (May 26th & June 7th)She never opened my messages and so I decided to write a message on one of her posts because maybe she was busy...Still no answer.Yesterday around 5pm I decided to literally write on her Facebook and write: "Hey girl, I've been messaging and would love for you to respond back." And she blocked me.I have been OVERLY too nice about this situation and understand people especially us photographers get super busy with life. Now, that she has blocked me without even a word is saying a lot about her as a person. It's very unprofessional as a person who runs a business to ignore her clients and especially ones who have paid. I will be filing a claim with my bank to try to get this resolved but I just wanted to make a public announcement and warn everyone about her.

DO NOT BOOK WITH KAT !!!this company advertised a two day mini shoot in Sedona, AZ. HOURS before the shoot we receive an email saying there is an emergency that day that comes up and she has to cancel and will reschedule. When she sends the email to reschedule it includes both days of the shoot whereas the original email suggested only Sunday afternoon shoots were affected. You can contact her multiple times and she will not respond for weeks if at all. She won't refund although it was her reason for cancellation/rescheduling. This business is a scam unfortunately.

This was hands down the best photography session I have done! Kat makes you feel so comfortable. She will tell you how to pose to get the best pictures. It's great for people (like my boyfriend and I) who need the direction. Everything from the mood and props add to the romance and they clearly stand out in the finished product. Kat is super personable which adds ease to the session. Her work is absolutely stunning and she is quick with her turn around time!! I plan on using Kat and Peaked Promises for any session I need in the future and highly recommend you do too!

I found Kat through a Facebook post and decided to book with her. Our whole booking process was very smooth and professional. The day of the shoot she was very courteous as we got a bit lost finding the location (no cell service). She made the whole experience feel like a fun date! We got the photos back quickly and they are all beautifully edited...true to what she displays in her portfolios! Very happy with my experience and photos!

Wouldn't trust. It pains me to write a bad review about another photographer, but I want to warn anyone looking to book with Katherine. A few months back I had booked a photo workshop as an attendee. She cancelled the workshop just a couple days before the date. Myself and other photographers attending expressed how we could help rearrange the shoot to make it work and told her we could not reschedule. She refused to listen to use, outting us all money and our time. I explained to her that it was unfair to make everyone reschedule because she cancelled. There was a lot of drama to even get her to give me money back. She finally said she would and would have the money in my account by end of July. It is now mid August and after 3 email attempts, she has ghosted me. She is completely unprofessional, manipulative and a scam artist. After seeing a couple bad review here, it seems that this is not her "first rodeo" collecting money and then doing a terrible job at serving her clients. Would not trust or recommend Katherine. I hope she learns from her mistakes in the future. Hopefully I'll get my full refund and can end this drama.

Unfortunately, this was a bad experience for me. My daughter was in the hospital with RSV, so I made the mistake of making my payment late. In order to get my session back Katherine charged me $100. Considering the total of my session was $225 before the $100 late fee, I felt that this late charge was unfair. Also, this was all a week ahead of time, not the day before. Then on the day of the session she arrived to our session 10 minutes late. Ironic. I also wished we had been notified that the park (location that the photographer chose) was going to charge us $20 to get in. I love some of the pictures but some of them weren't edited at all. She sent my "edited" pictures back to me the same day of the session, and when I asked her if they were just a rough edit she said they were finished and she couldn't edit some of them any further. As in that was her finished product. The icing on the cake for me was that I couldn't figure out how to save these pictures so that I could order prints, and she stated that I did not buy the package with printing rights. I asked her to send me the contract where that was stated, and she said she didn't have one. I suggested to her that going forward, she needs to let her clients know that she's not releasing the pictures to be printed but to be shared on social media only. UNLESS you want to order them directly from her website. However, I feel this photographer was unclear about the different packages she offers and doesn't make it clear what you are going to get from her. When you pay for pictures you're under the assumption that you can then get prints of them to hang in your house, right? If that's your way of thinking , make sure to ask for the printing release package, which wasn't offered to me. Can't say that I recommend Katherine due to the multiple reasons above.
