This was my friends and I first time doing electric bikes and they were so fun! We originally had a start time for 12pm but we were running late so we called and were able to push it back to the 2pm time. Jill and her husband were super sweet and great! Helmets are required for insurance purposes. Jill gave us a map and had great recommendations on bike routes so we could see the most. It was a really cool experience and definitely highly recommend best way to see Yorktown. Super bike friendly! It was $25 per person so not bad at all.

Me and my wife took a 2 hour Segway tour around Yorktown historical district. First time riding a Segway but it's real easy to learn and within a few minutes you're ready to go. Great weather and a great guide made for a relaxing and fun 2 hours. Highly recommend this tour with this company

Went kayaking they where vary nice we had paid for sit on top however a couple was still out on them they allowed us to switch to sit in witch was not a problem since we where looking at getting some and wanted to try both they allowed us to switch after so we could try both as well

We rented SUPs and had an amazing experience! The staff was so friendly and helpful, they truly made our experience that much better. I loved that it was a small local company, totally had that feel!! There was SO much wildlife to see on the York River, I was shocked! We saw dolphins, jellyfish, a pretty big stingray, and some hermit crabs. Of course don't expect to see everything when you go, it's not always the same each time!! BUT highly recommend this as a family friendly activity. There are great restaurants right around this company for a bite to eat afterwards :)

The staff at Patriot Tours is fun and amazing. You can watch the Segway instruction video before you go, saving time and also sign the waiver online. We had Mike as our tour guide, and he was awesome! He was filled with fun facts about the history of the area, and very relaxed is showing us how to operate the Segway. Two of us had riden before but two were new, but he had them comfortable in minutes. As an experienced rider my only complaint is that we were in turtle mode (up to 6/7 mph, not the full 11/12). The area is beautiful, and there is ample time to explore Yorktown while on the Segway. Their units are new and they offer both the i2 & X2, we took the history tour, they also offer an hour ride to learn about the Segway and a 90 minute off road tour, which would be fun. Patriot Tours also offers bike and kayaks for rent, I highly recommend and ask for Mike!

First time in Yorktown. We came here on or vacation to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. My wife set the family (15&17 y/o boys) up with the Segway tour. It was so much fun! The boys liked it, because we told them it was a bicycle tour and surprised them with the Segways. Our tour guide, Ricky, was knowledgeable and a great tour guide. A little pricey for the two hour tour, but well worth it for this cheap guy.

My wife and kids (Abbey 19 and Josh 16) took the one hour tour today and it was great. It was the first time on a Segway for all of us. The staff of the operation were all very friendly and funny! Our guide Trevor was very helpful in teaching us the ins and outs of riding. It took only a few minutes to learn and by the first 15 minutes we were all pretty good at it. I'm pretty cheap so at first I thought the $39 per person was a little expensive, but at the end of the tour I thought it was well worth the price! I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone visiting Yorktown.

First time on segways, it was the highlight of our trip. We were made to feel comfortable from the beginning. Our guide was very relaxed and knowledgeable. Never felt rushed and saw plenty of interesting places in Yorktown. Can't wait for our next trip to plan another Segway tour. Randy was a wonderful guide. Enjoyed the 2 hour tour and wish it could have been longer, so much history in the area. Very happy we went mid week, we were the only ones on the tour which really helped us get comfortable at our own pace. Strongly recommend.

My wife and I really, really wanted to go kayaking. We were not sure about sit-on-top tandem kayaks and availability on Labor Day so we just showed up early and knocked on the door when someone was inside (I would recommend making reservations online ahead of time.)We did the 2 hour tour (so we wouldn't get stuck on Gilligan's Island). We were given good instructions on what to do and what not to do. The kayaking boundaries were reasonable and well explained with enough variety to make it interesting. Open water, sandy beaches with shelling and fossiling possibilities, tidal pools and sand bars to explore wet or dry etc.We had a great time, even for near-seniors and not too many cranky muscles later on.
