Service is fine, iced coffee tastes burnt. Can't speak about the food, smoothies.Nits- no pastries- no coffee stoppers- no simple syrup

Simple fair done well with healthy choices. The roll for my breakfast sandwich was so soft and delicious! Coffee and smoothies were excellent, not watered down. Service was friendly and fast. Thank you!

walk up window, good variety of drinks, avocado toast took a while and the avocado wasn't even on the toast that was burnt. smoothie was good.

Great drinks! It can get pretty packed mid-morning and take a bit (happened when I was a part of a group of 9 so fair) but it's the closet coffee shop to the beach area so makes sense. They have a few picnic tables outside and it's a nice view of the sound side. Went another time and ordered only 2 drinks and it came out within 2 minutes. Definitely worth trying if you're in Duck!

First, This is not the correct location, it's closer to duck road. Second the owner is a real jerk and kinda Wacko. I've seen her yell at her employees and make them pay for a mistaken order. I ordered a smoothie from her and told her I couldn't have any apple in it and a sandwich that couldnt have Pune nuts, because I'm allergic. She told me it was fake and that I have a weak pancreas. I took the order and grew it out, I didn't trust her to make it to fit my dietary needs. I would not recommend this place

Delicious smoothies and coffee! Love the Lotus in particular. And the owner and staff are friendly.

Ordered two coffees and two of the vegan sandwiches for our trip back home. Service was quick, coffee was hot, and the sandwiches were awesome. Love the homemade food and love supporting local business versus a chain restaurant. Will be back on our next trip to OBX!

Other than the cool name "Outer Bean" this place is not welcoming. Talking to the girl in the order window was like talking to a wall. Then waited 25 minutes for avocado toast and a bagel with butter. Had no idea when our order was ready because there's no loudspeaker for names to be called out so listen closely and don't go far. Being a window only restaurant with a bad cashier (at least today 7/29 8:40am) completely turned me off . I won't be back. There's plenty of places with coffee just drive another .02 miles and you'll have a better time . Coffee was good.

This is a brand new location for Outer Bean Coffee. I have not been to the one in Kitty Hawk but we were happy with the coffee here and the juice here is great as well. It's nice to get fresh juices and smoothies without having to drive too far! They accept credit cards and along with the plastic straws they also offer paper straws for properly earth conscious people!Great little stop in for carry out drinks and coffee!

Both Yelp and Google said they were open until 5pm. Pulled in their parking lot at 1:22 and went to open the door, locked. Employee, through the glass door, signals they're closed. Hours on the door say that they close at 1:30pm. Now, normally I wouldn't be overly upset, but being a new parent of a 6-week-old, all I wanted was an iced coffee, very disappointing.
