Outer Banks Cleaners

Our ultra posh OBX resort with a week minimum stay had nolaundryservices or onsite laundromat. So I yelped a solution. Had to drive all the way to Kitty Hawk twice but this cleaners did an excellent job helping us with wash n fold. I heard the laundromats are rusty and sketch anyway, so just spend the $20 and enjoy your vacation.If you're near this shop, they also deliver.

I am trying to figure this place out....my cleaning has been there for two weeks now and everytime I go you pick them up they are closed?? Today is my 4th time back. Hours say open until 3 pm it 230 and they are gone. How can you rum a business when you closed weekends and Wednesdays???? I just want my dry clwleaning back!!!!!

I needed a dress cleaned quickly for a work party. They never returned my call but did get my dress done in time when I dropped it off.

I have lived on the Outer Banks for 12 years, and have been a customer of Outer Banks Cleaners for a few years now. I brought in a suit jacket to them, asking for them to take a look at a small oil spot on the coat. When it was returned to me, it had a blue spot on it. They were not able to remove this new spot.They offered me a cleaning credit, but said I would have to surrender the coat to them to receive it. The credit was for the amount I paid, which was around $60 or so, because I bought it deeply discounted. I felt like the request to surrender the coat was odd. There just wasn't any particularly good reason for it, especially when the stain they put on the coat was visible. Nonetheless, I accepted the credit, and surrendered the coat.I have attempted to use their services once since then, to try to remove a stain from a hoodie, which they were not able to do. It was taken out of the credit.I am now moving away, and I have a credit remaining. I asked if they could transfer the credit to my Dad, who has been a customer longer than I have, and they refuse to do so. They said that I could bring my Dad's clothes in for him myself like they were mine, because of course I could do that, but that seems like odd game playing. Why not just transfer the credit instead of making me spend that time.The bottom line is that their policies get in the way of good customer service. Over the years, I have had them press some garments, do some tailoring and a bit of drycleaning, and their work has been fine. But customer service is tested when things don't go well, and when you perform poorly, and in my case, they just have not been able to respond in a way that lends itself to trusting the business with any garments that you care about.

The staff went above and beyond to ship my clothes back hope. Very understanding and would recommend.

Super service they picked up, cleaned and delivered. Also called when I forgot to put the hook out.

I've used Outer Banks Cleaners for well over a year and I've been very pleased with everything they've done. I've used them for dry cleaning and also for simple alterations. I'm very glad they pick up and deliver and I've always found the staff to be available, friendly, polite and helpful. Their prices are not cheap, but I like the pick up and delivery, but other dry cleaners in the area have not been as kind to my clothes as Outer Banks Cleaners. I know that dry cleaning and alterations are very personal services, but I've been very happy with Outer Banks Cleaners.

I am fairly new resident to OBX. I needed some pants shortened with a plain hem. I had called this cleaner and got pricing over the phone. They said it would take a couple of weeks to do but I wasn't in a hurry so I took 3 pairs in (@ $10 each). I was satisfied with that so brought 3 more pairs for the same thing and pricing. When I went to pick those up, I brought 3 more pairs for the same service. This time I was told 3-4 weeks, which I thought was kinda odd but again, wasn't in a big hurry. 3 1/2 weeks afterwards, I received a call from the cleaners saying that they were getting ready to hem my pants but the price had doubled to $20 per pair. Not only did I find this to be rude but very unprofessional. I asked if they could honor the original price but was told the owners said NO ! Obviously, I will never use this cleaner ever again.
