Osaka Ramen & Sushi

Ok ok, so this review is solely about the food. Well, wait... when I placed my order, whomever I was speaking with was a tad bit rude and didnt get my order correct but im not a Karen so lets talk about the food.Back to the mission:So I ordered the Tonkatsu ramen, it was a solid 5/10. Very watery & lacked a rich flavor. Traditional/Japanese Tonkatsu is very rich deep flavor & almost a creamy texture, shouldnt have same consistency as a soy based broth.I ordered a Samurai roll & that was the life saver of the experience. Fish was fresh and the balance was there. I hate when rolls are 90% rice & this was NOT the case. GREAT JOB ON THE ROLLS !Id go back... maybe. Idk.. maybe not the ramen. Deadpool out

We visited this location for a work function. Overall good experience with a variety of tasty dishes at a decent price. I don't order sushi often so I stuck with a spicy girl sushi role and their version of fried chicken. This location is located by the ODU Campus so sure to leave time for parking. The food was good and they have a lot to chose from. The Spicy role was missing the spice but I wasn't complaining too much because I don't perfer the food to be super spicy. I would go back if somebody wanted sushi closer to the Norfolk navy base.

I stopped by Osaka Ramen & Sushi on a whim for lunch with a friend on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant is conveniently located in a shopping strip in Red Mill with plenty of parking. We were seated right away, and the place had plenty of open tables, making it feel relaxed and not crowded.The service was friendly and efficient. I ordered the Volcano Roll and Tim's Roll--both were beautifully plated, generously portioned with fresh ingredients, and full of flavor. While the sushi was great, it wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was definitely enjoyable and worth trying. The prices felt average for sushi.Overall, I had a pleasant experience with good food and friendly service. It's a solid spot for a casual sushi lunch, though not somewhere I'd be rushing back to.

Full disclosure, the five star review comes off the strength of the service of the single waitress holding down the counter and serving three to four tables as well. Took me a couple of minutes to get seated and maybe a couple more to get the food. But like I said earlier, the waitress holding it down was more than cheerful and energetic to power a small town. The food was actually really good and unfortunately left my take-home plate somewhere on the bar because I was sweating my ass off due to the spice. Also I did ask for extra spicy and I got as I deserved. I think the place wasn't as packed due to it being summer and this being down by the college but the food was great. Lots of seeding and lots of booths available. Good atmosphere for a solo diner like myself, family or a group. Definitely recommend the spot

My husband and I got seated as soon as we walked so I already knew the service was gonna be top tier! Btw I always order from here off of DoorDash so we can finally came in the restaurant and sat down to have a date night ! My husband got their ox-tail ramen and he didn't leave a drop ! lol I ordered the salmon roll and the Philadelphia roll the sushi was a perfect size I didn't ordered ramen because I just wanted something small ! But overall service was great food was damn near delicious definitely will be back !!

The ambiance of this place gives college restaurant vibes but their food is actually good. I got the spicy miso ramen and it was delicious! I wish they had some more add on vegetable options but overall it was a good bowl of ramen & sushi was good but I wish it came with some sauce?

We stopped by Osaka for the first time today and I am so happy we did. Service was amazing and so was the food. Probably some of the best ramen I've had here! I got the shoyu ramen and the broth & pork chasu was SOOO incredibly flavorful. My toddler and I could not get enough. I also ordered a Christmas tree roll and that did not disappoint either! Can't wait to come back and try some more items. 10/10 Definitely recommend

We ordered take out from here. My husband said his food was ok. I didn't care for my food. I had sushi and it had what seemed to be. Miracle whip mayonnaise on it.

One star less because the service was lacking. We were early for a show and decided to get dinner. It wasn't as busy when we entered but it seemed like there were understaffed. We barely saw the waitress and food took forever to come out; even worse, the food came out at separate times, so by the time I got my food, my daughter was almost finished with hers. The food is hands down fresh and delicious.

It was pouring rain when we arrived to Norfolk! We didn't know until later. There was a tornado that went through. We were grateful to hear nobody was injured. We stopped here for the Ramen to warm ourselves in this cool wet night after a long drive !!! The ramen was good fir a rainy cool night. I got the veggie. My husband got the spicy miso ramen. The view from our table was not great. (Dirty dust pan and overflowing garbage). Table bench was ripped and table top sticky. The waitress was good.
