We came here for the first time on a Friday evening at 7pm with a group of 6. Although the place was hopping with customers, we were immediately seated.Service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was vibrant with happy customers singing happy birthday and just enjoying the evening.Menu was colorful and extensive with great descriptions and explanations of food as well as photos. Prices were super reasonable. Will definitely return.

Here's a polished version of your review:What a fantastic place to enjoy a meal with my family! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated at a clean table. Our drinks arrived quickly, along with complimentary chips and salsa, which were a nice touch. They also have a great selection of beers for those looking to unwind. The atmosphere was lively, and it was clear that other diners were enjoying their time here as much as we were. The extensive menu can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but it offers plenty of tempting options. The food was absolutely delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. This is definitely a spot we'd return to for another family outing!

A go-to spot for a quick lunch close to the Naval base. I mention that because during lunch time you'll see a decent amount of men and women in uniform - a testament to just how popular this place is! I've only ever been here for lunch and the thing that stands out to me most about this place is the top notch service. I often only have a limited time for lunch but I'm never worried about it at Oro Azteca bc I know the food will be ready quickly. The service is perfectly complemented with the food. They have amazing lunch specials at a really good price. Once you order, the food comes out almost immediately, fast enough that you haven't stopped munching on chips and salsa!

Me and my mom found this place right outside of the Norfolk Naval Exchange. We gave it a try and it was really good. The service was good and food came out really fast. We tried the fajitas, Carne Asada, and Tacos de Camaron. The place was clean and they had a lot of TVs. Definitely have been back a couple times.

You can't go wrong with getting some food here at oro azteca. The people here are really nice and the food hits the spot. Best Mexican food I ever had, no, does it do the job, and tastes pretty yummy, leaving you satisfied, yes!Personally recommend the chile rellenos, always filling, always a ton of flavor and ahogados in some salsa roja!

A Culinary Fiesta at Oro Azteca: Where Flavor and Vibrancy CollideNestled in the heart of Norfolk, Oro Azteca is a culinary gem that captivates patrons with its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional Mexican cuisine. From the moment you step through the doors, you are enveloped in an ambiance that resonates with the liveliness of Mexican culture. The evening began with a delightful surprise as our server graciously presented us with a complimentary starter - a basket of freshly made house chips accompanied by a zesty and subtly spicy salsa that hinted at the tantalizing flavors to come. This thoughtful gesture set the tone for an extraordinary dining experience. The beef and cheese nachos were a symphony of textures and tastes, featuring crisp tortilla chips generously adorned with savory beef and gooey Chihuahua cheese. Each bite was a celebration of flavors that danced on the palate, leaving us eager for more. Our journey into the culinary wonders of Oro Azteca continued with the beef fajita quesadilla. A large flour tortilla enveloped a succulent mixture of beef, grilled onions, and peppers, harmonizing perfectly with the melted cheese. Served alongside Mexican rice, guacamole salad, sour cream, and shredded lettuce, this dish was a fiesta for the senses, showcasing the chef's commitment to quality ingredients and authentic flavors. The pièce de résistance was the Steak Azteca - a grilled rib eye steak cooked to medium-well perfection, adorned with sautéed onions and mushrooms. This dish elevated the dining experience to new heights, with the rich, smoky aroma of the rib eye tantalizing our senses. Accompanied by a side of flavorful Mexican rice, beans, and three warm flour tortillas, every element of this dish was a testament to the culinary expertise of Oro Azteca's kitchen. What truly sets Oro Azteca apart is not just the delectable cuisine but also the reasonable pricing and generous portions. The commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience is evident in every detail, from the vibrant décor to the attentive service. In conclusion, Oro Azteca is more than just a restaurant; it's a journey into the heart of Mexican culinary artistry. With its lively ambiance, generous portions, and an array of mouthwatering dishes, Oro Azteca has etched itself into our culinary memories as a phenomenal dining destination that embodies the spirit of Mexico's rich and diverse gastronomic heritage.

Food was just ok, nothing extraordinary. Just your average Mexican food. Margaritas weren't that strong or "fresh". The service was phenomenal though! Our waitress was lovely and the manager was also very attentive and friendly! The place itself is cute and was clean.

The food was delicious. I got the enchiladas verde with rice and beans. This place is almost exactly like El Azteca on little creek road, even down to the menu design. The servers were very attentive and checked on us frequently. The food came out in less than 10 minutes after ordering which was awesome. For a Saturday night it was maybe 4 other parties there with me and my partner, so not too lively. I definitely would come here again.

I've eaten here twice. The first was for lunch and I ordered the enchiladas verde and sopapillas. The food came out very quick and was delicious. The enchiladas had a great flavor profile. As for the sopapillas, I would have rather had them without the cream and sprinkles and instead with just cinnamon-sugar sprinkled on.The second visit I got the burrito California. This thing was massive and it was really good. For dessert I ordered churros and they were good, but a tad overcooked. Definitely a go-to for Tex-mex in the Hampton Roads area.

Came here for lunch during a visit to the area and it wasn't bad. The service was good but the food wasn't the best. Idk if it was a bad day or what but I wasn't impressed to the max. The waiter was amazing and gave great service. The food was a different story. I got the chimichangas. I asked for no red sauce and asked for them to be extra crispy. Neither happened. The chimichangas came out with red sauce and wasn't crispy at all. The meat inside was kinda bland and greasy. But the side of rice was a great amount and wasn't bad in taste. If I come to the area again I would def try this place again but try a different dish. Overall it wasn't bad but a little hot sauce makes everything better!
