If you are looking to splurge a little and dress up from some asian fusion and views, then this is your place! On one of the top floors of an oceanfront hotel, this restaurant is definitely worth the price for its view of the entire Virginia Beach. Along with that the service is absolutely amazing. The waiters and waitresses are all kind, knowledgeable, and helpful.Food wise, they are definitely known for their sushi rolls so I would highly recommend getting at-least one of those but if you want something else just know they have a variety of options to choose from almost all asian inspired.Great date location and you get free two hour parking if you scan the ticket for the hotel garage at the front of the restaurant. Highly recommend making a reservation as well.

This is a review for their BRUNCH only. I went for brunch for the first time today, and I don't think I would come again. I like the ambiance better at night than during the day, but I will say the terrace is lovely for a beautiful day. The food disappointed. We had a party of 17, so I tried a variety of dishes, and they were average at best. The only thing everyone agreed on being good with no issues were the sushi dishes. My entree was the short ribs with eggs, and the description is super deceiving. What I thought I would be getting was a plate of short ribs and scrambled eggs with a bao bun. What I got was 2 small slider sized bao buns with a tiny piece of short rib and a small chunk of egg on each one. While the waiter warned me this was a small entree, he should've advised the description is not what you think. It is more of a small plate or appetizer than a $17 meal. The only saving grace this afternoon were the drinks were all made very well. However, they are pricey. The wait staff was very nice, attentive, and informative. I expected a lot more because dinner is so great. This will be my first and last time attending for brunch! Oh and if you come with a large party, be informed they cannot do more than 2 checks. So be prepared as far as who will be the one to pay. We had 2 bills of over $500 each.

The view and ambience is great. Our server was very nice. I wish there were more sweet cocktails. If you order a basic martini, they charge $20 (more than any of the special cocktails). The curry soup and pot stickers were really good.Sadly the rockfish sides were terrible (although the fish was good), the scalloped potatoes were so dried out and tasteless and kale was vinegary. Neither went well with the fish so was pricey for what I actually ate. Arincini was weird, didn't work for me.Wish the server had noticed that the sides were basically untouched and offered something else, but she was probably too busy with the loud children running around at the table next to us.Lastly, it was my birthday and they brought a cake, but they charged for that too.Would've been nice to have at least provided that on the house, given how expensive everything else was.

I went to brunch at Orion's with my family from out of town this past Sunday. I was running late but was immediately warmly greeted by the manager. He took me to where my family was seated and we had a nice little conversation on the way. My seat was a little cold because of the breeze blowing through the walkway between the middle seating area and back seating area. I didn't catch the server's name but she was lovely. She didn't rush us. She let us take our time ordering and was on top of everything (even with a full section).I ordered the Eggs Benedict with crab cake from the brunch menu. The yoke wasn't at all runny, unfortunately, but that's just me being picky. Other than that it was delicious and the perfect amount of food. If you don't like heights, maybe this isn't the place for you. As for me, the view was gorgeous and the atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing. I'll be back :)

Five of us where in the area and chose this location for lunch. We were there in the off season, so parking and crowds were not really an issue. You can park in a parking deck and get it validated at the restaurant. If you get seated by a window, the view is fantastic. You can see the beach and ocean for a long ways! All of us got various lunch orders and the food was good.

We recently spent a weekend in Virginia Beach and chose to stay at the Marriott Hotel, which features the stunning Orion's Roof--an Asian Fusion restaurant perched on the top floor. This was my second visit, and I must say, the food continues to exceed expectations. We started with the crispy octopus salad, a perfect blend of flavors and textures. For sushi, we shared three rolls: Salmon, Spicy Tuna, and Spicy Crunch--each one fresh, flavorful, and impeccably prepared. The service was just as remarkable as the food. Our server, Matt, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and genuinely cared for, adding a personal touch that made the experience unforgettable. If you're visiting Virginia Beach, Orion's Roof is an absolute must. Located on the north end of the beach, just across from the Cavalier Hotel, it offers not just exceptional food but also an ambiance and view that truly elevate the dining experience. Don't miss it!

4 of us stopped for brunch on Sunday. We have eaten here before and the food was quite good. Things were different on this trip. It is still a beautiful location and view. We started off with some drinks. All were pretty good, but the prices are really, really steep. Lagavulin 16 for $99 for a double? The entire bottle is $99. That's a little ridiculous. The hamachi was good, but not a fan when the girl that cleared the dish dumped the chili oil and soy sauce all over my son in law. The oysters were good, but not opened very well as every single oyster had shell in it. I had the shrimp and grits; not good. My wife had pot stickers that were cold. SIL and daughter had equally average dishes. The worst part about the whole meal was the service. It was crazy slow. Over 2 hours from brunch was way too long. Also, if you dump food on someone, comp a drink or appetizer or make some effort to make it right.Honestly, after this visit...I'm not sure I would go back. That kind of sucks.

Ambiance was spectacular with the Christmas decorations and panoramic views on the 23rd Floor of the Atlantic Ocean and the Cavalier all lit up. Being Christmas night we were so excited to get a table. Our waiter was very friendly and easy going. He had a great personality. He said he was normally a bartender. The food was good. We started with a Grilled Corn Elote, street corn type appetizer with chips for dipping. The corn mixture was under seasoned and some of the chips were soft, not crisp. But overall nice dish. That's the reason for 4 stars. My daughter ordered a Bento Box for my one year old grandson. The fries were perfectly crispy and well seasoned. That's all he really ate but was happy. There was also hanger steak, celery, carrots and a salad. Good value for $20. I had a tempura shrimp sushi roll and it was as good as I've ever had for that particular roll. I ordered a Caesar salad but never got it however I was pleasantly full so it didn't matter. For dessert we had the Mile High Cake, a chocolate layer cake shaped like a high rise building. It had an espresso icing which was delicious.Fun place to go.

The views from Orions roof are stunning. I had reservations and we were seated quickly. Our waitress was really friendly and took her time going through the menu. Being it was our first time, my friend and I got a little bit of everything. For appetizers we got the shumai, salt and pepper calamari and the duck confit egg rolls. For main entrees I got the seared salmon and my friend tried a few of the specialty rolls. And of course by recommendation we had to try the famous Cavalier Mike high cake. Overall the food was good, but not great. I expected a little more for the price but you are definitely paying for the views and experience with Orions Roofs. It would be perfect for a date night or happy hour though.

This restaurant is located at the top of the building and has an amazing view of the beach! You have to park in the garage, but they will validate parking for 2 hrs. I got the garlic parm wings ($15), hongkong toast($19), and country fried steak($18). The wings were a great size and cooked perfectly. The garlic parm sauce was quite good, it had a bit of a sour taste from the garlic which surprised be a bit. The country fried steak was breaded and fried quite well, and i was surprised that it wasn't crazily salty. The gravy had the right saltiness to go along the fried steak. The staff were friendly with giving recommendations. The highlight is the amazing view of the beach and skyline at the restaurant height! Overall I had an excellent meal at a good price and portion size. Food(50%): 8.5Staff/service(25%): 8.0Value(25%): 9.0Overall: 8.5/10
