I decided to stop in based on the great reviews. It's located on the train tracks in Ashland, and has a public parking lot next door, which came in very handy. The staff was super friendly and let me try several samples in small beaker glasses. I opted for the Brewski, and it was at that point that I was told this is a sister site to Center of the Universe Brewing, which I visited recently, and that this location makes small batches of beer, and rotates offerings often. It was a small place, lined with customer's mugs on the walls. I'd recommend stopping in if you're in the area.

This was a great find for us. It is not far from where we are living and is a fun place to go.There is a public parking near by so parking is easy. There is some indoor and outdoor seating. There is a beer list with a good variety to try out!. There is also a beer garden in the back!It has two walls of mugs for locals to hang their mugs on! It is also located right on the rail line. We were there about 1-1.5 hours and about 6 trains went by. This place was really laid back and a good time! We plan to make this a regular stop!

Strolling through the little town of Ashland we stopped in Origin Beer Lab. What great service and wonderful beer. We sat out front and enjoyed the great taste of an Oktoberfest. They have a great area out back as well for couples and smaller groups.

So... giving a five star rating here because it is literally a beer lab, people! Sometimes you have to get outside yourself... why not try some beverages that make it or tank?!?But... they probably mostly make it as they are good choices! Between the two of us, an almost complete flight (we did 8/9 available) and one of our choices to top off made for a good time. I'll be back!

They even have a house-made seltzer for those of us that are gluten free or don't like beer. It's such a cool place!!

This brewery is physically tiny, but their product is a force to be recognized as high quality and praised. If you enjoy great beer, sitting outside on the sidewalk, trains going by on a regular basis, wonderful locals, parents visiting their children attending Randolph Macon, people from out of town, and bicyclists by the dozens going by then this is your place to be on a weekend day. If you are not here, than you have missed out.

No food just beer. It's right in the heart of Downtown Ashland, and when the weather is nice they open up the windows.Plenty of places close by that you could walk to to get food and eat there. The beer list changes all the time

Really love this place. Not only do they have 8 amazing beers on tap that cross many different beer types, but the staff are always friendly and it's a nice vibe. At the moment, the Choco Mint Stout is blowing my mind. Kinda like a thin mint. My wife is digging the Lemon Meringue Whip. That said, I typically do not like IPAs, but their Hazy IPA is really quite nice!

This place was great and the guy Mike who works there was so friendly. He really went above and beyond to help us so I wanted to mention him on here. The town itself is really quaint, and this spot really stood out to me. The vibe was really nice and they even allow dogs on the patio! We purchased two growlers (16 oz.) and a t-shirt for a little under $30. Growler fills for the smaller size are $12! Not a bad deal...Center of the Universe is also owned by the same owner of this place and from what Mike, the guy who helped us, said all the popular beers from here become a seasonal at their other location.

Met a friend here on a Thursday night for a few beers. I got a flight (a pilsner, two sour beers and a cider blend) and wasn't overly excited about any of those - tried my friends brown ale and fell in love! They've got a decent sized selection of different things - I imagine something for every taste. They have a few games so we played connect 4 until our competitiveness got the best of us, ;-). I would come back - but I knocked a star for how absolutely GROSS their bathroom was. There were multiple bugs, a freaking SPIDER IN ITS WEB attached to the toilet and dirt all over the place. When you're serving beer people are going to have to pee - their bathroom needs a serious cleaning and some maintenance.
