Wow, I'm from the Westcoast visiting for the holidays and man this gym eats up the gyms in CA. The staff was super friendly the moment you walk in. There is an abundance of gym equipment, weights, space, etc. Surprised to also see so many bumper plates and squat racks! They even have a cinema room to watch something while you work out. The gym requires you to leave your bags in the locker room, normally I carry around some equipment in my bag to help with my workouts but I feel, you don't have to worry about not finding what you need. People seemed respectful of the gym and put things back where they belong. Not sure if it's always like this but I went on thanksgiving day. We used our family's guest pass to get in. We asked about day passes and they said $10/visit. Side notes: there was a children's play area for people who needs a babysitter while they get active. Saw multiple bathing suit dryers in the women's locker room, ample dressing stalls/bathrooms, showers, etc and super clean!

People rely on a gym to be open when they say they are going to open. We plan our day around this. This is the second time this month that there is no one here to open the gym at 5am. This is absolutely unacceptable!

Gym is conveniently located off Virginia Beach Blvd. large free weight area, multiple weight machines and cardio/cycle/treadmill area. I typically work out at the Brambleton VA location but use the Virginia Beach location when I visit Family.Morning workouts are crowded but there is space and weights for everyone (occasion long wait for the squat racks).Great place to work out. Love the variety of exercise areas.

The gym is very equipped and has a variety of equipment needed for your health needs. From the janitors to the personal trainers they go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. I want to pont out in particularly Layne. He goes above and beyond in helping me either with a towel or just simply giving me some moral to crush my gym workout. Superb young man he is, God bless his soul. Also Destiny too, she is so polite and always asking if I need anything and has even helped me pick out different post drinks, God bless her soul too. Looking forward to continue being a member of this family, best gym I have ever been in my life.

Really spacious and they have tons of options for both strength training & cardio. Pool, hot tub, sauna, spinning room, workout classes, a bunch of machines and free weights for anything you want to do. Staff is typically very friendly and helpful, but I will say some of the trainers can be a bit rude if you are "in their area"--one time I was asked to move along because I was apparently on a squat rack that was reserved for personal training.... They used to have a full basketball court, but they ripped it out and put in even more weight training area.

Disappointed and Uncomfortable Experience at One Life FitnessI was excited to join One Life Fitness after being referred by a friend, especially since the referral incentive was a free shirt--a nice little perk for new members. However, this seemingly simple reward turned into an incredibly frustrating experience. When my friend went to claim the shirt, the manager denied it without a reasonable explanation. I decided to call and clarify the situation, but the conversation quickly became unpleasant. The manager was not only rude but also condescending. He claimed that he created the policy, contradicting the company's advertisement. When I pointed this out, he defensively stated they only carry small shirts. I was willing to accept the small size, but he told me to go to another location. His demeanor was aggressive and dismissive, making me feel entirely unwelcome. I genuinely wish I hadn't joined this gym, as his behavior has made me uncomfortable and concerned about becoming a target if I continue to go there. I hoped for a positive and supportive environment to pursue my fitness goals, but this experience has been the opposite. If management is this hostile over something as small as a promotional shirt, I worry about how they handle more serious issues. I would not recommend this location to anyone looking for a welcoming and respectful gym atmosphere.

Not only is this location always packed, hot, unclean and smelly (yes I know it's a gym but there's little to no circulation or cleaning), but the trainers are entirely too rude (unless you are paying for their time!). They hoard the nice equipment in the "trainer area" and scowl at you when you try to workout when there's barely anyone up there. Even in the main space, they take up multiple pieces of equipment at a time and get snippy with you when you try to use anything near them. Most of the machines are worn down to the point that they have no padding and they hurt to use them (if they're not broken). Not the best location BY FAR.

Been a member of this gym for 4 years, and having worked out my entire adult life all around the country, I've never felt the need to write a gym review until now.Overall the gym has imposter syndrome. They try and act like a classy gym but really its a local run down gym with garbage management. Their staff is hit or miss which would lead me to believe they are all low pay, minimum wage employees. I would 100% go to another gym with size but they cornered the Virginia Beach market. Less competition = less value for the community. The award for worse branch at One Life is the Lynnhaven location on Va Beach BLVD. For YEARS half the treadmills or bikes are ancient or do not work properly, and the ones they "replace" them with are the cheap not industry standard machines. 70% of their HIT bikes are broken to some capacity and their trainers in there walk around like they own the place and are something special. Va beach could use better.
