Olde Towne Creamery

Definitely the best ice cream in the area but not my all time favorite. Ice cream flavors were not overly sweet and were very stable and did not melt quickly. I like creamier ice cream and this was a bit less rich but definitely not icey. Tried the strawberry cheesecake, and black raspberry chocolate. All were good! The sherbert was also very bright and citrusy. The server at the window was also friendly. They have a small parking lot as well off the main street so no worries about street parking!

Driving around Manteo and OBX we decided to search for some ice cream. We stopped in the Olde Towne Creamery and felt right at home. The hot dogs filled the spot in our bellies and at a great price. We sat with the owners and talked about the great areas to visit and all the sites. The ice cream was next and it was magical. The cookie dough was creamy and the perfect texture. My wife had the mango ice and loved it. A nice quaint little shop with seats to enjoy their fares. We sat for a spell enjoying their company and talking about the island and its many activities. The next day we enjoyed our visit so we went back. We arrived early and we were offered a great breakfast of French toast and blueberries. Later returning for more delicious ice cream. Again we had a wonderful visit with the owner and his wife. Both delightful people who made us feel like family. We promised to return again and try the pizza. They assured us it would be worth the 4 day drive.Can't say enough about the Old Towne Creamery. Super stuff and great service.

Friendly, fast service. Conveniently located on the way to the Aquarium. Delicious ice cream. What else matters?

Just went here. Got a chocolate shake and my boo got a vanilla shake. We planned on going to Dunkin' originally. Saw this cute little place on the way. Definitely worth going to. Milkshake was made with real Ice cream. Owner was really kind and made sure I got some napkins before I left. Support small businesses!

Nice little ice cream shop/ fast food place. We didn't order any hot food but they had burgers and hot dogs. All of the ice cream they serve is Hershey's. Service was fast and friendly. Take your ice cream outside to one of the many chairs or picnic tables. Bathroom is outside around the back.

Place is delicious! We came two days in a row just for the Cappuccino Crunch. It was yummy both times. $10 for 2 double scoop waffle cones & worth every penny. Bathroom is outside in an outhouse style room. Employees friendly & place is nicely air conditioned.

Cute little local place!!! I got the minty mint chip and my SO got the chocolate. They support the military which I LOVE. We will be back before vacation is over

The guy who took our order, After hours, was so nice! He said of course I'll feed you, and made our pizza. We'll definitely patronize this place again!The pizza truly was the best I've had in a super long time. I'll search them out again!

My wife and I ordered a pizza and ice cream here. For being such a small place the pizza was excellent and made on site. The ice cream was delicious as well. The owner claims his pizza is the best on the island, while I do not doubt him I wouldn't to go anywhere else for pizza in OBX.

Went for ice cream. Our family of four had no complaints. All the flavors were good; the price was far less than some other OBX places; the service was good. I wouldn't rave about it, but I would go again if in the area.
