Okinii Hibachi & Sushi

First time here and I really enjoyed my food! I had the teriyaki chicken with fried rice which is an up charge of $1.50. It didn't really taste fried and had just a little bit of egg. Most likely would not add that on again. Veggies were good with the chicken. I would maybe ask for the teriyaki sauce to be on the side next time. I also did order a side of their yum yum sauce and it was very good too! Service was very nice and they have some rabies inside. It seemed very clean inside as well.

Very inexpensive spot for solid sushi takeout! Was not hard to order vegan with cucumber avocado roll and the vegetable roll. The pieces were surprisingly large-lots and lots of rice. I prefer the avocado over regular veggie. Seaweed salad was tasty too. Family all enjoyed the non-vegan specialty rolls.

The food was very fresh. The rolls were large. The service was friendly and quick. The ambiance was nice but not many tables. It was warm but we're current in a heat wave. I grabbed this sushi before my flight from PHF. It was worth it.

Very delicious food at a reasonable price. I moved to Virginia from California and I know how spoiled I was for good sushi. Okinii is one of the best I've found locally in Virginia, so far. My goddaughter ordered a bento box with teriyaki chicken and she said it was outstanding. I ordered a sushi dinner with 3 different sushi rolls. It was very, very good. The miso soup was also very good. There are plenty of delicious looking options to tempt the taste buds.It's a small place and not a lot of ambiance, but it is clean and service is friendly. Okinii is our new favorite Asian restaurant in Newport News. I'm already dreaming of the next rolls I want to try!

Service was very friendly. We had a group of 6 and the chef and someone else from the back came out and moved the tables for us. They made the food and brought it out to us. Sushi I got wasn't amazing but my friend's rolls were really good, and again the service was really good. I would go back and try different rolls.

Wow! My son and I had lunch at this sushi restaurant today, and really enjoyed it! So much better than Sushi King! We ended up getting the 3 sushi roll lunch combo which included soup or a salad for $12.99, which I thought was a great deal! Their spicy tuna rolls and spicy salmon rolls were really good; loved the crunch added to the rolls; it wasn't very spicy, which didn't bother me since I add wasabi to my soy sauce. The miso soup also hit the spot and my son enjoyed his salad with the ginger dressing. We left thoroughly satisfied which is how you want to leave a restaurant. We will definitely be repeat customers for sure! Can't go wrong with this place if you want good sushi.

Good sushi and hibachi.. the prices are very comfortable. They are closed on Tuesday's.

Order chicken teriyaki (the dinner portion) Togo. The amount of food for the price was excellent, had some veggies mixed in wit the chicken and sauce. Chicken was kinda hard but the meal was overall really good. Rice was perfect.

Food was awesome- had the casual feel of a family restaurant but the quality of a great sushi restaurant!

Service was prompt. The food was average. Party of seven including three children. Was looking forward to the hibachi steak and shrimp amd it only tasted average. I was expecting more taste. The noodles were just plain. Needed more sauce.
