It's cute. The lights are different and cute. Music is a combination of Spanish and pop. Walked in and didn't see a hostess so we sat down and waited ... and waited while a fly flew around us. They don't have blinds or retractable shades so when the sun starts to set you get blinded ... I'll add more if we get a waitress or not ... so far it's not looking good even though the bar tender looked right as us as we walked in looking confused. We waited 20 mins ... made eye contact with multiple employees and no one bothered bringing us menus or asking if we wanted to order so we left. Their loss.

Hot summer days and walking on boardwalk- the AC is ON here. Go inside to get some beer, chips & salsa sampler 9$; burrito ole choice of protein; street tacos 3$ each; and vampiro taco with choice of meats 9$. Food is delicious! I'm not Mexican so this point of view is from an Asian person who eats Taco Bell and Panera. Salsa had enough heat to tease me. Service friendly and fast! Bus boy also ready to remove plates- that's a plus! I wish I was hungrier to eat more- but I was full from beer and water and chips appetizer. Chips with one salsa is free btw. But if you wanted to get the mango salsa and habanero salsa then additional fee. Live music in the evening and patio seating also available if you like to be in the heat. Boardwalk visible from our table inside. Tourist perspective- good spot and not too pricey-- large groups can be accommodated! Parking if you did not walk- lots are across the street but they are pay by day.

Came on a wed night - hostess wasn't to be seen so sat ourselves..seemed to be a theme. Pineapple crush was more a pina colada in a hollowed out pineapple. Barria was good but the hamburger was meh. So overall the barria burger is like a 6 out of 10. The chicken fajitas came out hot but it's just basic fajitas.

Food was mediocre. Service was absolutely horrible. Arrived on a rainy Monday evening with only one or two families in the place. The waiter acted like it was a hassle that we walked in. He asked if we wanted water and got an attitude because we asked for soda. Brought the food to the table without any silverware, which had to be asked for and it still took him forever to bring it to the table. Drink refills were non-existent, we had to catch him walking past and stop him to ask for refills even though the glasses had been empty for a while. Then he brings the bill with a 18% service charge (Tip). I asked for it to be removed and I was informed there's a sign on the door that states this policy. It's sad that the waiters know there going to get the 18% tip, no matter how their service is, so he could care less about the customer. Wouldn't suggest this place for your VB vacation.

Got to the area late... looking for food. First those of us that have been to VB many times, it's al chill vibes and people are cool. Visit if you've never been. Stop by ocean ole one of the few places still open and serving food. Some of the best guacamole I have ever had. If you love guacamole you will want more to go with your food. Can't go wrong with steak and chicken fajitas. I decided to try a few street tacos ( beef, crab, shrimp). Shrimp was my favorite of the three. The best dish was the carnitas you will not be disappointed. Food, drinks, and staff two thumbs up.

There is a new oceanfront restaurant on the horizon and it's the sister, brother, cousin to Oceans 14.This Mexican cuisine restaurant is located right off the Virginia Beach Oceanfront strip. This used to be the hotel's (Best Western) restaurant, but the owners of Oceans 14 has welcomed Oceans Ole as the new home.My dear and I dined here last night as the restaurant welcomed us to their second soft opening. In total, eight of us dined and had a great time. The restaurant is new, the staff is new... therefore pack your patience. Our server, Joe was a pleasure! He suggested drinks and all he suggested were tasty!I love a yummy classic margarita and if you feel the same, try the margarita tradicional . I was feeling adventurous, therefore, I opted for a spicy margarita, spiced lycheerita. And then I went down the tropical road and opted for the coconut margarita (light on the milk for me) and it was really good.If not for the food, I would return just to drink! The restaurant features a Tequila Tasting ($25) as well. Tequila is my liquor of choice! Now the food... I had the fajitas, but I was very plain jane last night, but I usually am when it comes to Mexican. I'll take a chicken or beef taco with red sauce and jalapenos and I'm good. The food did not have much seasoning, but when sprinkled the siracha... that was the kick it needed.Others at the table enjoyed their meal as well. Plates were empty :) that's always a good sign. This restaurant will feature live music and/or a DJ perhaps. Renovations are still underway, but I see this as an establishment that will definitely bring the crowd in.I noticed a senorita making fresh tortillas in the back... so rad!Parking... there are garages nearby as well as street parking. While we visited on a Thursday evening, street parking was available across the street... pay at the meter (3 hours max)We are looking forward to returning soon.Have fun and enjoy life!

Service was slow due to there being only one server. Ordered carne asada, blackened salmon (no photo whoops), birria, chicken tinga (no photo), and pork belly tacos. Carne asada tacos were tasty and easy to finish for a friend who is a light eater; salmon tacos weren't truly blackened and the sauce was much needed; birria tacos were seasoned well and tasty; chicken tinga was good ; pork belly tacos were good but something inside was very spicy--not the taco itself though. There is a photographer that offers you a free postcard and takes your pictures which was awkward and will try to sell you $45/4 pictures.

Close to the beach, beautiful location and scenery. Had the pineapple crush and blue butterfly drink, very good and pretty. Got the birria chimichangas, a+ on presentation! Birria could be seasoned better but still good. Gauc was also good. Served by Josh and D. Took a while to acknowledge when we sat and we took a while to get our waters but they were nice when they did come to the table.

I really like the fish tacos. The sauce was good and the fish (mahi) was fried well with a thin breading. My hubby liked the Carne asada tacos. We also ordered the chicken tinga empanada. It was fresh, not greasy and the dough was thin and crisp. It was topped with a lime crema and shredded cheese.
