Ocean View Municipal Park

My family and I came to the park this evening to try to enjoy some 4th of July fireworks and family fun. We easily found parking which was public and attached to the park. That is rare on a holiday like this! With 2 cars two quick parking spots is hard to come by. We were grateful!!As we entered the park we saw other families grilling so apparently grilling is permitted. Volleyball nets were pitched up and hammocks tied to trees. Kind of reminded me of the state parks in NYC and NJ. My family and I quickly found a nice spot and we set up camp to play charades and wait for the light show to begin. There was no life gaurd this late at night. Dogs were permitted after 6 pm Fire works were permitted on the beach as wellI didn't see any public bathrooms near and there was hardly any lighting in the park once it got dark which made us all scramble with flashlights as we packed up.Plenty of lighting in the parking lot which was nice!I approve this park for some local, free family fun

They are really trying to build this area back up, and it shows. This is a nice little park on the water. Great for picnics.

Peaceful and serene. The beach is never crowded and there is ample parking. I'm totally blessed to live across the street from the beach.

Ocean View is my go to place for when I want to relax next to the beach. There are plenty of beaches in the area but this beach/park is never crowded. I usually would head out around 5 when the weather cools down. And the view of watching the sunset here is amazing. Totally recommend to anyone in the area.
