I found the resort to be exceptional, especially for the location and amenities. We are staying in the one bedroom suite. I love it! It has a bedroom, living area, full kitchen (with utensils and cookware) and two full restrooms. We're on the 6th floor. All rooms are beachfront. Daniel and Britney have been AMAZING during our stay! Britney gave us information for all the off-season hot spots. Great woodwork, sleek and clean. I can't show the full layout b/c we have stuff everywhere, but this place is very clean. There is NO housekeeping services during our stay, but the room was well stocked with soaps and towels. There was plenty of parking and no fee. There was only a 100$ incidental hold. Again, this is in the way way off l-season, but, I like it here. I'd certainly stay again... and again. Do note: Any noise from the living room is heard in the bedroom.

I stayed at the "resort" July 14-19 2024. No housekeeping the entire stay. The tub didn't drain at all. The room didn't match the picture in the confirmation email. It was like they took pictures of a different hotel. I actually swept out the tub because of the sand. They charged us a $64 fee for not booking an entire week when I actually tried too but they didn't have availability. They confirmed our reservation 2 days before we arrived and STILL lost our reservation when we went to check in. I asked for service in our room and the front desk told me they had an exchange program...which meant that we stripped our own bed and brought our dirty things down to exchange for clean things. It was a horrible experience and we will never stay there again.

The timeshare near the beach offers some great amenities such as an indoor pool and a bar/restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating on the boardwalk. Although the decor is slightly dated, it is relatively clean and tidy. However, there is room for improvement in terms of customer service as I witnessed a front desk representative arguing with a customer. Additionally, parking can be a bit of a challenge (very tight spaces for larger cars).

My family and I have never been to Virginia Beach so we decided to check it out this past May (2018). After looking at several places, Ocean Sands Resort was the place we all decided on.When I arrived, the first thing I noticed was that we were walking distance from everything. The location was awesome! The resort is right on the boardwalk and you have restaurants, bars, shops, and entertainment just steps away. The room, unfortunately, was not that satisfying. It was small, outdated, and needed a more thorough cleaning. The only positive was the ocean view.

A great hotel. Had a wonderful week stay. I loved the room. We were on the 5th floor. Beautiful view. Loved the kitchen. The staff were super helpful and nice. Would definitely stay here again. Great location.

Will definitely not be staying here again!! $360 a night and we had to search down basic essentials that should be in a room. We arrived; had no shower curtain for the shower. Look a little further in the room and realize half the widow was missing a darkening curtain. Walked back to the front desk...again, because we had no phone in the room for me to call them. Upon advising the front desk of the missing curtain, they provide me with a sheet to cover the window....because they had no more curtains!!! (Really, no other curtains in the entire hotel?!) The 2nd day the light was so bright I asked again for something to cover the window; they brought in a grill cover and hung it at our door! We were told this was their "display room" so it was missing things due to that reason, needless to say that is a poor excuse to not have a completely furnished room! We will NEVER book here again. We were approached to purchase a time share while there and this experience will definitely prevent that from happening!!

AVOID Ocean Sands Resort (and their sister property Ocean Key Resort) at all costs. I booked an ocean front room with a balcony for a weekend in May. Upon arriving at Ocean Sands Resort on the day of my reservation, I was informed that my reservation was TRANSFERRED to their sister hotel. I received ZERO communication about this change in advance. In addition, the sister hotel is not ocean front, which is the main reason I chose Ocean Sands to begin with, and it is not centrally located. I don't understand how they can change the service that is being provided with ZERO advance notice. I had to speak to several front desk representatives and two of them were terribly unhelpful and were acting like the situation wasn't an issue. Finally I spoke to a representative who informed me that I could cancel and receive a refund, which is the route I decided to go with, however it's been weeks and STILL NO REFUND. Would definitely avoid this place at all costs. I had to book a new hotel at the last minute, spending $300+ more than I originally planned to.

We checked in to find that someone was in the room already. We were changed to another room and next day I found out that we had to moved to the original room that we supposed to be in. We were NOT the only one with this issue. An elderly couple got stuck in the elevator #2 while trying to check out and none of hotel workers provided help to them. They were in the 11th floor and the only elevator that goes to the 11th floor is the one elevator out-of-service. The front desk workers are not very useful they act like you're bothering them. I read a feedback about issues at check in and I thought that wasn't going to happen to me; how wrong I was! Talking to the lady that was in my room, revealed that she wasn't allowed to check in because room was unavailable and made her stay at the Ocean Key Hotel to come back the next day and find me opening her door. The room was ok with a great view. However, room need updates. Bed wasn't a queen but Full bed. When my bathroom is way better than the hotel, you'll question yourself. What I'm doing here? and wasn't a cheap stay either.Manager is not a competent one or do not care! I've been in the military for more than 20 years and managed many teams/facilities/programs and this is unacceptable. Her reply was... "If we let go people we can't hire new ones back". How about train your staff and make them accountable!!DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Do not commit the mistake that I made!! You're going to find just headaches in here!
