Ocean Key Resort

Stayed last night.... Will 100% stay again. Upon checking I noticed four people behind the desk. Didn't think anything of it. Went to the room after and had an issue with the lock on our room door. Went down the front desk to talk the gentlemen that checked us. Informed him of the issue and he speaks with another gentlemen behind the desk. We get moved next door to another room. Super fast, I'm a really digging the response time and customer service. My girl and I get dinner, bar hop, and then come back. In the elevator, they have a mini bio print out of the team that works there. Turns out the dude that took my issue was the assistant manager and the dude right behind him was the manager. Not only do I appreciate the quick response to the door not locking, but I respect the fact the manager was up front with his people making sure issues were addressed. In their elevator bank, they have photos and duty titles of the staff that works there. Love that.... I think they should expand that to include everyone that works there. I'm coming back....can't wait party here again.

The staff were very nice and kind, the we had no problems the room was nice and clean when we first walked in. The only issue was the elevator had something wrong with it for a day and it was up and running by that night, the staff work fast and hard.

Very poor quality and dirty rooms.I just spent an hour cleaning my own room because this is a resort not a hotel as told by housekeeping. Housekeeping also stated that they don't really clean the rooms because of turnover during season!!!I've never heard of such a thing!!!!

Excellent view, service, room was clean and in goid condition, and parking was plentiful.

This hotel was worth the staycation! You have a living, full kitchen stocked with pots, pans, plates, silverware, and more everything you need. The room was very clean and well kept. Customer service was responsive when needed. We did take a dip in the hot tub and checked out the pool, as soon as we were about to step into the hot tub they turned the jet on for us too! Well located in Virginia Beach, not right on the water line but one block over, we will for sure be back!

the pull out bed has blood stains and food on the sheets. when I requested someone clean and change it no one came and then I had to change the bed myself. when I took a shower there was reddish brown substance smeared on the ceiling and what looked like fecal matter next ti the toilet. I ended up staying one night then had to check out because I was so disgusted by the room. I was promised a refund by the manager Bill and that he would call me to discuss this more but instead I was told that I would not get a refund. I booked tostay July 4-9 and only stayed the 4th and they took my money. I don't know how they think this is how to run a business but I will never stay here again. Wish I would've taken a photo of the bed but my daughter was there and horrified looking at what was supposed to be her bed.

Our refrigerator froze our food. We had to dispose of half of it (salads, fresh vegetables). Maintenance never came to fix it, manager suggested that we just thaw what we need ahead of time.There was a loud rhythmic noise in the room above ours that sounded like a large hard object being dropped on the floor, over and over again. Due to management refusing to reimburse for our ruined food we chose to play music while we were there and use white noise at night.There were several other things that needed repair. I would not stay there again. On a positive note, other than the manager, the staff was pleasant.

Nice little place. Staff was super friendly and the accommodations were pretty nice. Good size place with a kitchen. I would definitely stay here again. Nothing crazy fancy but no complaints. Elevators and carpet in hallways could use updating but nothing crazy.

The hotel room was nice the service was nice as well the only thing that was bad was the pool and hot tub the hot tub was not getting hot and we asked them to turn it up it never got hot and the pool was ice cold but overall it was a great stay

We stayed there on 3/31/2023 through 4/2/2023. In the first room the toilet didn't flush so that moved us to another room. The second room was filthy. The bathtub hadn't been cleaned. There was potato chip crumbs in the living room. We complained so they move us again. We had to wait an hour for the room to inspected/ cleaned. We had a hard time locking the balcony door. One of the elevators was out of order so you had to wait long periods of time to get on because of the crowds. The phone didn't work in the second room so we had to go down to front desk to report problems. We had to ask for reimbursement. The manager did give us one night back. Overall not a good stay. I would not stay there again.
