Ocean Cove Motel

We just stayed here there were 20+ people in our group obviously we had multiple rooms. The rooms were very clean, and the staff was extremely courteous and pleasant. The location is on point to the beach and souvenir shopping. Everyone we dealt with was very accommodating and helpful. I will be staying here again if I travel to VA Beach again. Thank you to the staff and owners for all you did for us.

The place was super clean. The staff was great(more than accomidating) and we had a fairly large party. I would recommend this place for beach proximity, cleanliness and staff. Cost was reasonable also. We will be back.

We were a huge family celebrating for a birthday and I was reluctant to come here to be honest but I'm happy to report it was a fantastic stay! The location was perfect, just one block to the beach and various restaurants, shops, ice cream and entertainment . The rooms are old school but clean, great working ac, cotton sheets and nice bedspreads. The staff were kind and accommodating to our large group. We loved the shady courtyard that had two ping pong tables and picnic benches and a grill. We will definitely be returning !

They have exchange students staying here, ten to a room in bunk beds for $115 a week per student. If one student is late, all students get paid a late fee. They are not allowed to pay via credit or debit card. Cash, cashiers checks only. $115 is a discounted price, should student decide to leave they have to give two weeks notice but pay $2500 a week. There are many rooms like this. I asked what was the square footage of the place and owner has not idea. But claims he has passed every local and state inspection with 100% DO NOT have students stay here. The J1 Program needs to remove this place from their recommendation. I have videos of the room where the students are staying and the conditions.

Do not stay here !!!! Checked into this place on valentine's day for a little get away from everyday life for the night .... upon arrival we had to call for the person at the front desk casue he wasnt on location... Waited 15 min for him too show up .... room was clean and smelled good ..... but .... bring your own pillows .... casue ours was paper thin .... blanket? Hell you might as well turn the heater up to 80 and cuddle because there was only a sheet and the bedspread for blankets (no other blankets in the drawers I looked) the bed was low to the ground and very thin mattress .... the bath tub was narrow and short but the bath room was very spacious..... no extra outlets in the room for charging our phones so we charged them in the bathroom.... tv was no bigger then a 32 in and even at that the cable was so outdated that it only took up half of the tv screen ..... the couch was old , faded , had stains on it and very much uncomfortable....... on the plus side it is only a block away from the beach .... got to watch the sun rise ..... there is a 24/7 7/11 right next door which was great for us to get coffee .... the front desk guy was very nice and helpful.... but I dont think there is anyone there over night casue when we went to go check out we had t0 put our key and car pass in a drop box .... so if you need anything through out the night you may be on your own .... we didnt see anyone else at this hotel so it did make for a quit night....

We needed a place to stay after the KISS concert and found this little gem... we stayed in a one room with decor of beach theme. It has a full loaded kitchen. The bathrooms were very clean and well stocked. The patio was nice for a cup of coffee and breakfast. The Owner and his wife were very polite... we will be back!!

this place was great IMOquaint place to stay for a couple days. quiet , everything was miniature and cute. mini shower , coffee maker, fridge, sink, tv and toilet. the people are great and friendly. Steve was helpful and nicewould definitely stay again

TL;DR Version: We own a pet but didn't bring him, they lied and said we did, and KEPT OUR $150 DEPOSIT!!! Details below.I'm absolutely livid. If I could give 0 stars, I would. The stay was nice and all, and normally I'd love to gush about how great it was to be here, but it's not worth going into because they withheld our $150 cleaning deposit for "having a pet in the room." This is a huge lie as we left our dog with a friend to stay 3.5 hours away. We have video and photo evidence, but that's not good enough. Their "evidence" is that our "pet" left enough fur on the floor to necessitate 3 rounds of cleaning. That floor was almost spotless when we left. Too bad I didn't take any pictures of it to prove these scammers wrong. And if our dog was there, they would have heard him barking as he barks at every little noise. For a budget place we were willing to put up with the negatives, like the persistent dampness everywhere and lack of shampoo and conditioner, but since they insist on lying to us for $150 we'll expose the truth. Don't buy the $58/night as a good deal because they charge hidden fees that are "refundable" then don't refund as they promised. I'm sorry I ever stayed here and won't return to such morality-starved pieces of human refuse.My prediction is they'll try to reply with their so-called "evidence" about our nonexistent/absent pet, but don't believe a word of it. They probably found a little pet hair on the floor from our clothes and figured they could get away with lying about us and keeping our deposit. Don't stay here unless you don't care about not getting your deposit back for bull crap reasons.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Beds are disgusting, holes in the mattress with signs of bed bugs. Door was cracked as if someone tried to kick the door in. Furniture was filthy. Spend the extra money and go literally anywhere else. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I stayed here for the whole 2021 year until I just recently found a place they where friendly great people very reasonable very clean it honestly felt like home the only reason me and my wife left is we had a beautiful baby girl I highly recommend this place if you want to vacation are stay awhile to you find a place
