This is an otaku dive bar. Inexpensive "canvas" prints of anime characters hang on millennial beige walls accented by cheap fox masks and oversized red paper lanterns. The classy red and black tables and chairs from Kappa Nara are still there, but they are worn and scuffed now. A massive flat screen TV plays muted subtitled anime. Hip-hop style J-pop plays on the speakers. There's a large section of sake-spiked drinks, discounted appetizers on weekdays, some katsu dishes and some ramen dishes. There's some vegetarian and chicken options, but most dishes are pork or contain fish. You have to pay $1-2 extra for common toppings like eggs and nori if they aren't listed as part of the dish. The food actually is pretty good. It's salty, as bar food normally is, but not unpleasantly so. The Takoyaki is honestly the best I've had in the city. Fluffy, savory, and gooey but not raw. Made fresh to order. No complaints! I also got the Kake Udon; the stealth vegetarian option. The tofu was deep fried then marinated before being put (cold) into the broth. I had an egg added. It was soft boiled, marinated in soy sauce, then cut and half and put (cold) into the soup. The portion size was ample and the flavors were good, despite the made-ahead nature of most of the ingredients.Staff was polite though they only stopped by my table three times. I would have liked a refill on my green tea. It was a very cold night and all that salt makes me thirsty! Tea was pre-brewed, too. No bags at the table this time. Overall it was a decent experience with decent food. It's not a classy place like the old Kapa Nara, but Nori Nori Ramen is OK for an informal time with friends.

Walking in, the restaurant was cute with a traditional Japanese feel with pops of anime decoration. Service was fast and friendly and you can sit anywhere in the restaurant. The menu was limited to donburi, yakisoba, ramen, and common appetizers. I wasn't a huge fan of the strong smell of the bathroom sneaking into the eating area but I also felt like it was my fault for sitting in the back. Yakitori: 0/10 would not order again. The chicken was so weirdly textured. It was rubbery and crunchy at the same time like a harder version of vegan chicken. I did not enjoy it at all Takoyaki: 6/10 a standard Takoyaki. It wasn't outstanding but it was decent. The octopus also had a slightly weird flavor compared to other Takoyaki I've had Miso ramen: 5/10 it lacked a lot of depth in flavor and the pork was very tough. Overall, I was disappointed since the other reviews were very high for the place. I don't know if it was a one off situation for me but I did not enjoy the food I was served.

Not bad place. Greeted when we got in, the service was friendly and prompt to questions with the menu items. It has a lot of seatings. We liked the calamari but wished they had their own sauce instead of sweet & sour sauce. As for the ramens, the broths were lacking the deep flavor as well as the chasu. Though, their prices are okay for the ramen. I've had other better ramen with deeper broth in the price point.

Nice menu and delicious ramen, perfect on a cold winter day. Servers are very attentive and sweet. We always get the katsu platter and the seafood ramen and it never disappoints. Soo yummy

We started with the calamari and salmon onigiri for appetizers and ordered Tonkotsu and Shoyu Ramen for the main course. The calamari had a satisfying crispiness, while the salmon onigiri had a subtle flavor that left me wondering if there was something missing. The broth of the Tonkotsu ramen was rich and flavorful, and the pork slices were tender. However, the Shoyu ramen was overly salty, with the soy sauce overpowering the other flavors. It's worth noting that the Shoyu ramen contains soy sauce, but the ratio of soy sauce used was too high. The restaurant provided great service with friendly staff. The colorful Japanese anime on the wall created an inspiring ambiance. The establishment was well-organized and immaculately clean. I would definitely like to try other items on the menu.

I was so hooked on the sushi here! I took my kids back the week after our first visit and we were told they stopped doing sushi because the chef doesn't have the time to devote to it. I was so bummed! I moved to Virginia from San Diego and got spoiled with fantastic sushi there. I have yet to find a good sushi place in Hampton Roads and really thought this place was it.I ordered domburri instead and it was ok, but certainly not the sushi I wanted. I wouldn't choose to go here for anything except the sushi and since they don't serve it anymore, I likely won't go back. I'm really not a ramen lover, the domburri was ok, and the teriyaki isn't something I'd order either. After being so excited about this place because it had something for each of my kids and me, I was so disappointed. I really hope they bring the sushi back because until they do, I won't go back.

I visited Nori Nori Ramen for the first time today, l liked the restaurants decor very much. l read the menu and ordered the Don Katsu Deep fried Pork plate, it's served with white rice and many other veggies and sauce (there are additional add ons available for a small price). There are many drinks available Soda, Juices, Beer, Tea hot and Cold, The food was well made and was delicious. The Server for me was Brenna, She was very friendly and helpful. l recommend this Cafe to anyone that likes Great Asian Cuisine its located on Oyster Point by Fed Ex.

I go to the nail salon next door and wanted to try this. We decided to go here on a date night and the place was pretty empty. They did have a lot of to go orders coming in and out. We were seated quickly and ordered. The food came out so quick and was hot/fresh. The staff was so friendly and answered any questions we had. The food was flavorful and delicious. We had leftovers to take home too. We had two adult beverages too and they were strong! So we liked them a lot. Def would return back here.

This restaurant is clean, modern and service is fast! Within 7 minutes they had my Tonkatsu ramen to go order ready!Food came out hot, packaged and properly labeled even with preparer's name on the receipt! The ramen is definitely better than the other ramen place that starts with a "T" and rhymes with oh oh!
