I love a good vintage shop. Something about the thrill of finding a cool vintage piece is really exciting. Nomads is full of unique pieces. They have jewelry, shoes, bags, trinkets, and books! They even have a sale area full of further reduced vintage finds. As a curvy girl I was happy to see a little rack in the store for curvy girls! They have a few dressing rooms and they do allow you to try items on before you take them home. They are a bag free establishment so be sure to bring a reusable tote with you on your shopping haul.

Broaden your journey by being one of the Nomads that bustle your way through Ghent and check out this chic shop of curated threads, books, jewelry, custom designed pieces, and more. The shop os located next to Hardee's so make sure to park along the mural wall, street park, or use an adjacent parking lot.My review will be to tailored to the male experience, but know they have plenty of women's and unisex pieces. When you enter you'll find a great selection of sunglasses and bags to the left and menswear to the immediate right There are four to five racks of clothing ranging from tees, short + long button downs, pants, and shorts. Along the wall you'll find books, shoes, hats, and custom made menswear designs. They have a good selection of men's pieces but would be down to see it expanded a bit more. They have a great shoe selection and some designs or custom designs that are one of a kind. I'd also be open to see more men's jewelry and sling bags. The rest of the store has womenswear of similar clothes options. There even have a display case for jewelry with a lift top on both sides to try on the pieces. The back of the store has about three fitting rooms and a sales section with larger sizes in the back. Every piece I have found has been unique, vintage, or a great design that speaks to a person who loves to add a little flair to their closet. The service is always friendly and they have a variety of payment options. I'd also recommend connection to their social media as they post deals. So take the trek out here to find your new clothing oasis.

I always wondered who or what took over the building that Commonwealth vacated when they moved to Lynnhaven Mall (Commonwealth is now at the Pembroke Town Center). The answer presented itself as I took a walk around Ghent and stumbled upon Nomads. Nomads is a thrift & consignment store but way cooler. While looking around, I discovered some Balenciaga gear, some decent Nikes and Vans and a few rare concert/band t-shirts (they have a RATT t-shirt hanging behind the front register for a hefty price - well, at least I thought it was expensive for a t-shirt). Nomads appears to be one of those spots you hit up to find dope gear. I think if I were cool, I'd be here all the time. But I have too much clothes already - none of it is as cool as this place. I didn't ask to confirm, but I'm assuming Nomads buys clothes. So if you have gear that you no longer rock and maybe want to get some cold, hard cash in exchange, I'd recommend this spot. If nothing else, the owner is a sweetheart. She was kind and helpful during our visit - I felt welcome from the start. Thank you, Nomads, for a pleasant shopping experience! JV

I stumbled into this place with friends recently after having Sunday Brunch with friends at 80/20 Burger and had a wonderful experience. This place has an amazing selection of both vintage and designer clothes for very reasonable prices; furthermore, I'm in love with how the interior of the shop is set up. It's very cute and the clothing is well organized according to gender, size, and type. During my visit, I snagged two vintage 80s sweaters and a nice pair of Oliver Sweeney leather boots for mad cheap. It should also be noted that Janis, was really sweet and helpful throughout my shopping experience. Her commentary really made searching though, finding, and trying on clothes very enjoyable. All in all, I definitely recommend this shop for anybody who is looking to find cute gently used high-end fashion for less. I can't wait to go shopping here again.PS: Be sure to follow their Instagram @nomadsnfk to keep track of what they have in stock.

I'm lucky enough to live close to Nomad's and find myself here pretty often! I've both sold to them and frequently pick up new pieces. The employees are always super sweet and helpful, and they stock items from local artists, which is super cool. Seriously rad place!

I was looking for thrift stores that were open on Sundays and came across this place. Really nice little spot! Some of the items were a little bit more expensive than I wanted to pay for them but I still found a few nice pieces to take home with me. Will definitely return in the future.

I went in one Thursday with my daughter in tow and the customer service at the front was very nice and helpful. The clothes on the other hand were very over priced. I looked through most of the racks of clothes and nothing was under $20! At a THRIFT STORE! Most also had stains, holes or was missing a belt. Still priced at OVER $20!. The "owner" who was working a buy I guess at the buy stand was super condensending to a nicer older woman who brought some things in hoping to be bought. The owner told the lady that she was unfortunately out of pant hangers so they couldn't accept any pants in. Then she said they had too many shirts and blouses. Obviously you're going to have too many blouses or shirts or clothing, because you price them like a regular higher end store. It's a thrift store for christs sake lol. It just rubbed me the wrong way because they aren't going to sell if they are that much with stains, holes, missing items, ect. Seems very very money grabby in an area with lower income/college students. At least do discounts. Anything. I'm guessing this store will be gone within this coming year. Seems very money hungry for a clothing store. Why not name is a boutique then? It's very expensive.
