New China

Have been ordering from here for a couple months and the general tso's chicken is SO GOOD! Plus the veggie lomein and fried rice. It seems like they might be closed for the season and I'm so sad right now.

Not sure why this place has 3 Star, was one of the main reasons I tried was the rating. To be clear this is NOT a 3 Star Chinese restaurant! 2 maybe 2.5.I ordered and it was ready in 20mins, service was quick and friendly. Food was very fresh but bland with very little flavor. I love Chinese food and I know not to expect miracles but I have seriously had frozen grocery store Chinese food that tasted better. I orderedThe Dragon & Phenix:General Tso- inedible, soggy and grey looking. I've never seen general tso look that bad. The shrimp-tasty and not over cooked. Shrimp ToastIt's almost 3" tall and super dense. No idea what it was but it was shrimp toast. Egg rollCrispy and freshCrab WontonsBland but freshBoneless spare ribsDry, chewy and grizzly. Pork Fried RiceFresh but very bland

Stopped by for a take-out quick dinner after stopping by 3 decent seafood restaurants, each with 1-2 hrs waits for dinner We're used to Chinese food, being from CA, so we were curious to see the taste and quality of the food here. We were too hungry so we ate first and took pictures after, sorry : )Had #57 bean curd Szechuan style, #E2 Singapore Mei fun, #1 egg roll, #70a Grill onion chicken, #87 beef with Szechuan sauce. In general, food had nice taste, not salty nor having any MSG flavor. 57 was ok. Nice flavor and texture, veggies good quality, bean curd (tofu) good too. E2 didn't try yet, will keep for breakfast tomorrow. #1, had one and was quite big and lots of outside dough on it, crunchy and insides cooked well but not watery or dry, nicely done. #70a, onion was nice and fresh and cooked well. Chicken cooked well too, not too tough and a slight curry flavor that was welcome and fit the onions very well. #87, good ingredients and not greasy, still tender beef and nicely done peppers and carrots (not raw, not over cooked). Was a nice surprise for us. Really nicely cooked, good flavor and... Quick! Only waited about 10-15 min as they had an order they were working on as we ordered. As I mentioned we got here after a few restaurants wanting us to wait 1-2 hours. Heck on that. Not a seafood ready aura that really, but if you are hungry and looking for some healthy alternative, this could be your place. Will be back when in area again!

Based on some reviews I had low expectations. However, as American Chinese food goes the food was quite good. The chicken in the curry was quite tender, the vegetables were really nice and the curry itself had a little heat and a nice flavor. Set your expectations, the prices are nice and the food is nice.

My husband and I both agreed this was the best Chinese we've had in a while. He got orange chicken and I got general tso chicken and both came with white rice. We agreed we both could've split one order of chicken but glad we got both to try and have leftovers for lunch tomorrow! We called in for a pick up order that was ready in a timely manner and the food tasted hot and fresh. Id definitely order from here again.

Ordered Vegetable Fried Rice; worst fried rice ever. First, there was no flavor, very bland. Second, the vegetables were cut in big pieces. I my opinion, chopping them into smaller pieces would have been a much better way to go. Third, NO FORTUNE COOKIE!! I mean really, that's the best part of the fun. Take a few extra minutes, drive to Manteo to Top China; good food, family business

THE EGG ROLLS ARE SO GOOD!! It's hard to find good Chinese food like what I'm used to in Maine, but this is the best I've had outside of it! The general Tso chicken was pretty good and the rice was decent, the teriyaki chicken was also delicious. My family got some other items from the menu and they were also satisfied. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a place open late in obx!

Service was quick however, worst food ever. Will not patronize again. The spring rolls under cooked and everything else all tasted the same.

Good quick Chinese at the beach. Reasonable price for down here as well. Food quality was great staff was friendly.

We ordered food and it was disgusting. The service was okay. We ordered to go and once we got home we found a hair in our soup. The ambiance was bad we were looking at the menu. While glancing to pick out our food the table was falling apart. Nothing looked organized. I don't recommend this place.
