This is NOT an antique store. Also, man behind desk looked so rude with the look I was given as I came in. Sorry, could of bought plenty of your overpriced items. Don't be rude to your customers!

What a special place. I may be partial since my fiance and I found my engagement ring here a few weeks ago, but it was EXACTLY what we were looking for-- both in our shopping experience and merchandise. The owners of Muzzie's, Susan and Mike, are a great couple who genuinely care about their pristine antique jewelry finds as well as their customers. They truly seem to be in the business to make good people happy. And that's exactly what they did with us. All of the selling stats of my ring turned out accurate after having an appraisal completed. I love it more than any other piece of jewelry I've ever seen. And it actually is older than we originally anticipated-- diamond hand-carved in Europe circa 1880's (Old Miner's cut). You MUST stop in downtown Manteo to the charming street of shops, including Muzzie's, if you are in the OBX.Not only did Mike let us try on rings and take them outside (by ourselves) to see how they "sparkle in the sun," but Susan hugged us when we left, almost felt like shopping with family. What a great experience and memory created for us. Thanks Muzzie's!

My mom, daughter, and I love arts and crafts, so my daughter found this place on the map. We instantly loved it. They had cute jewelry boxes, clutches, jewelry, etc. My daughter got this cute clutch that I would even wear. The owners were super nice, and we were happy to learn that they are from the DC area. Very cute shop.

Muzzy's is one of my favorite places in the world!! Susan and Michael have created a welcoming feeling and gracious spirit. Susan is very knowledgeable and loves to teach you about the pieces of jewelry that you love. Susan has wonderful stories and the history about each piece or your special jewel. Had virtually the same experience as the other reviewer Kathryn. I bought an engagement ring here for my fiance while on vacation. I was very nervous buying the ring as I have very little experience buying diamonds, and was concerned about being taken advantage of... but the couple that runs the shop is very nice, patient, and from my experience, very honest. They even made a special trip to meet me at their shop as the rest of the OBX was evacuating for a hurricane. All of the ring's specifications were confirmed by an appraisal by the International Gemological Institute a couple weeks after I bought it. Great ring at a fair price. A good bit less expensive than buying diamonds from a "name brand" brick-and-mortar retailer.

Saw this shop after dining at Full Moon and planned to come back later in the week when we could drive the half hour again from our rental. After standing outside the shop waiting for my mom to join me I tried to enter but was rudely told by who I can assume was the shop owner that they were closed. He did not explain why or apologize that they were closing almost a half hour early. Besides the rude tone, it's extremely disappointing that a store with already short business hours doesn't keep their posted times. After just spending hundreds of dollars in a previous store it's their loss as I won't be going out of my way again to shop here.

The wonderful things sold in their quaint shop. I had a problem with a ring and sad to say I was very unhappy that the ring was not as it was sold to be. However, the owners couldn't have been more than happy to contact their vendor and request I return the ring and receive a full refund. There are some honest people around and I am glad I got the chance to meet them.
