Mustang Sally's

Fun spot to window shop at. Mustang Sally's clothing and accessories selection is pretty eclectic and not really my style (it's giving coastal granny palm reader) but it sure is fun to peruse.If you're in need of a beach cover up or statement piece of costume jewelry this spot will make you pretty happy. Prices are moderate, service is welcoming enough. I was surprised at some of the reviews about the customer service here but I've also never purchased anything and tried to return it here, which seems to be a huge issue, so good to know.

The staff here greeted us warmly and asked if we needed assistance. I was hoping to find something for myself, but unfortunately Mustang Sally's is only for women. Still there are a number of things to buy if you're feeling up to it, or the clothing matches your style. The most important thing about this store and others is the requirement of facemasks or cover ups. Hand sanitizer is provided for all customers during this Coronavirus Pandemic. Most of the stores are taking this Coronavirus Pandemic more seriously than a lot of restaurants I have seen. This is good.

Mustang Sally's has a large selection of more dressy clothes than the standard shop in Corolla. And their staff are very helpful when needed, but also leave you alone when not. I stopped by there shortly after we came to the OBX and liked a few things almost immediately. I went back a few days later to try them on. One of the salespersons was ever so patient and helpful in finding a top to match a maxi skirt that I had found. She ended up finding my size on a mannequin along the wall, and happily removed it for me. I ended up buying two outfits - a cute summer dress ($48) with a silver belt ($18), and a colorful maxi skirt ($28) with a dressy blouse $48). Both outfits are dressy enough to wear to an upcoming wedding, and I couldn't be more pleased at my finds at such reasonable prices.Highly recommended!

This review doesn't deserve one star. I tried to exchange an item in Mustang Sally's that still had the tags on that I purchased two weeks ago. Didn't have the original receipt, but I had the credit card and could produce my bank statement showing it was purchased! The owner said no -not only do I purchase a lot of items in this store all the time I'm an owner in the Outer Banks and all of my friends shop here as well. This was unacceptable, I specialize in customer service in Maryland and this was the worst customer service I have ever had. I am furious and will never step foot in Mustang Sally's again. Please take your business elsewhere like to the Cotton Gin or other great places in Duck. I wish the original owner was still at the store , the new owner has no idea she lost a lot of business. I had planned to purchase another swim cover-up and a lot more items. Shame on you..

We are from NJ and travelled to Corolla this week for a previously scheduled vacation. We are all healthy and feeling well. A well appointed sales woman asked us where we from and proceeded to tell us three times that people from Maryland and NJ were bringing the corona virus to the Outer Banks. We were planning on spending money in her store but felt so putoff and very unwelcome that we left without even shopping. It is unfortunate for both, this woman and her store, to shame her customers in this manner.

we were very disappointed in Mustang Sally's clothing. Old styles and overpriced. Don't waste your time in this store.

We have been shopping here for 15 yrs and today the owner told my SIL that the clothes were for smaller women. We all walked out and she lost, at least, $1k of sales. We won't be back. Maybe some lessons in customer service would help.

This was my favorite store in the world. They have very unique items and still do. They've become a bit pricier than when I first started coming in 1995 and the sales are not as great. As one in our group put it, I now walk out with one bag instead of four!
