Took the wife and kids here on Mother's Day. My wife love's beautiful views and the kids love parks, so this was a win. Only thing was the drive, my wife almost gave up on the drive here because of the length of time. However, when we finally arrived my wife enjoyed the water view and the kids loved the modern park.

It actually deserves 5 stars. But I felt like I was driving across half the United States to get here. From the other side of Virginia Beach it takes about 45 minutes. I could have drove 45 minutes and been in Williamsburg! But I was still in Va Beach. From the General Booth Blvd/ VB proper it's roughly 30 minutes. Honestly those 30 minutes seemed an eternity. It's deep in Pungo closer to the NC border. A beautiful park tucked away, but when you enter the park it spreads out into a nicely manicured area that opens to water access to the North Landing River. There is plenty of shaded space and open space and benches through out. Sheltered picnic areas, concrete corn hole boards, volleyball courses, baseball fields, basketball courts and an 18 hole disc golf course. Plenty of clean bathrooms. Although, some of them were closed for winterization. The bathrooms attached to the rental office close to the boat ramp were open and clean and stocked with soap and toilet paper. It's a huge area on 100 acres so plenty of walking to be done. It's so nice and quiet and peaceful that I almost don't want to share this review. But it will probably stay that way unless you live in the Pungo area or close to it, with it being so far!! It is a one way only loop that circles the inner area of the park. They even have a nice large playground area for kids. In the middle is a little garden. Swimming isn't allowed, the water access is one of the legs of the intracoastal waterway.I remember coming here once, back in 2009 for an Easter picnic in which I was invited. With so many years having passed, it's nice to know it's remained beautiful, but obviously with a lot of additions to it. I remembered it being super lovely out here, but just extremely far. Which is why I think it's taken me so long to return. Honestly, it's so quiet and tranquil that you can be alone with your thoughts and just enjoy nature. I like that it's away from the hubbub and chaos. I just wish I didn't live so far from it.

As my daughter's graduation was approaching, I chose to reserve Munden Point Park as the location to accommodate all of our guests. As we traveled 30+ minutes to see the Park prior to the party, I felt like we were never going to get there but when we did, the Park was absolutely gorgeous. The area was landscaped very well and it was clear of clutter and debris which I thought was impressive. The Park had many areas to have picnics, the playground areas were very big, and I even noticed someone out there fishing. The River nearby created a very peaceful and serene environment as well. The Park has five shelters which were a nice size and each one has charcoal grills. Due to the long drive to get to the Park, we decided not to have the party there but I definitely plan on going back for a nice picnic in the park.

There is a reason Munden Point receives close to perfect scores of 5. It's obvious from the first time you visit. They have it all. First of all this park wins the award for being the most remote VB park. It's only around 10 miles from the NC line. Second it's the fact it is remote which makes is an incredible charmer. Located off the waters of the Back Bay. Third it's impeccably maintained. The grass is always cut, the trash is picked up and restrooms sparkle. When entering from the main road be prepared to turn when you see the sign. Go another two miles and prepare for a right turn into the park. It's a one-way loop. There is plenty of parking, but only one set of restrooms on the far side I could find. There is no swimming, or wading in the water. So what do they have. A crazy popular wide boat launch that probably could squeeze three in at a time. Two ball fields, frisbee golf, three playgrounds, horse shoes, volleyball, a new two full courts of basketball, 5-6 large shelters and spectacular scenery. Oh that's all. If you enjoy sunsets oh my! Bring your camera. Come out and see the most remote park in Virginia Beach. You will love the drive too!

This is a beautiful well kept park! There's Plenty to do to keep your whole family occupied. We were able to kayak, fish, play basketball, have a picnic, walk through the landscaped garden and since there was a boat ramp we were able to bring our jet ski! This place had it all! I remember coming here when I was little and now we want our little ones to enjoy the best park in Hampton Roads!

Such a great park! Went fishing with the family today and the place was so clean and well kept! Lots of shady spots for fishing if you get there early enough. Wish they had such nice parks closer to home but the 30 min drive was worth it. The bathrooms were clean on both sides of the park. It did get crowded towards 11 but the people stayed near the boat docks from what we could see. They could use extra shade by the playgrounds though, we weren't able to play due to the slides being on fire with this heat but hopefully that won't keep us from coming back in the future. 4 1/2 out of 5 for Us!

Ever grow tired of the never ending pulse of Virginia Beach and long for a quiet escape without the need to flee the country... or county for that matter? Well, this is your destination - albeit a tiny drive out of the county. Nestled South, just passed Pungo, sits the peaceful domain of Munden Pointe Park. This sprawling 100 acre space boasts a variety of activities both on land and on the water! Once you find it (it's well off the beaten path), you'll discover ample parking for you, your friends, your boat, and your friend's boat! There are several ball fields, volleyball sand-courts, and even a massive disc-golf course! The aforementioned boat-parking comes in the form of a small dock and ramp - which is well maintained and guarded by ducks, snakes, and lions... well, maybe not lions. There are also several covered shelters (reservations recommended), lots of picnic tables, and park benches scattered around the property. You can spend your day fishing from the banks, rent a canoe or two, or bring your camera to capture the unique flora and fauna of the area!All-in-all, if you're searching for a quiet place that's mostly tourist-free, and offers a genuine abundance of activities - this is it!

I'll be honest, I didn't even realize Munden Point existed until a friend took me here. For a second, I thought he was abducting me and taking me across the state border, into North Carolina. Located in southern Virginia Beach, Munden Point Park is the perfect, tranquil getaway if you're looking to spend some time outside. My friend loved the disc golf, while I loved kayaking. I'm not sure how much kayak rentals usually run, but I found these rates to be fair. We launched into the creek and explored the waterway. We invited spotted some turtle, fish and some birds that I can't identify. This is also a great place for families with young children. There's a playground and I even saw one family having a picnic birthday party under one of the shelters. Munden Point Park is a peaceful escape.

Spent a day at this park with the family utilizing various activities at this park, when I was approached by two females on a golf cart. According to them me nor my family were told we would have to leave and that we couldn't operate a small motor vehicle on the public roadway. According to them they allow for exceptions to golf carts and electric motorized vehicles but not gas operate ones beyond the golf carts that ate driven on their facility from the nearby community. I then asked where the policy existed and would be willing to leave upon request and they brought me back a printed out policy, which I previously viewed online prior to coming to the park.According to a print out policy provided to me by one of the employees and according to the same policy advertised online it states the following:"Motorized vehicles (including utility and golfcarts, motorcycles, scooters and ATVs) areprohibited on playing fields, picnic areas, sidewalks, multi-use paths/trails or any othergrassy areas of the parks without permissionby staff." As states preciously, we didn't break any above the above listed policies and remained on the public roadway. After pointing this out to them they started to back peddle and state well they were driving aggressively which once proven false they switched it something else. At what point in time do you just save face and give in. I thought I would let it be, but i was later informed by a friend that these employees have posted pictures of me, my family, and vehicles online on Facebook in an attempt to shame or harass my name and character. As a city employee I believe this conduct is unbecoming of any public servant, as they are expected to operate in a professional manner. As a lifelong member of this city I shall never return to this park. Better professionalism, community relations, and knowledge of the policies could have made this encounter a-lot better.

This is a fantastic place to seek refuge from the craziness of Virginia Beach traffic...and for good reason!! It's way out in ... Egypt! If you dare to make the drive out, it's worth the trip for a reset after trying to elude busy VB proper!! This place is so sprawling and well-maintained. It has wonderful views of the water with plenty benches dotting along the waterway! There are picnic tables, which you can use on reserve, and frisbee golf. You can even rent kayaks. Plenty of fresh air and sunshine abound at this wonderful park with plenty of space, so you won't feel crowded!! You just have to drive way out unless you live in Pungo!
