Moxy Virginia Beach Oceanfront

We really enjoyed our overnight stay here. It was on a Thursday night in December so in the off season for Virginia Beach. The Moxy has such a fun youthful vibe. We really enjoyed hanging out on the first floor where there are plenty of comfortable seating areas with games around such as Jenga, shut the box, foosball, ring toss, and more. There is a giant slide in the lobby area if you are feeling adventurous. Check in is super easy at the bar. You also get drink tokens upon your arrival which was nice. We put our bags up in the room and came back down to the bar to enjoy the space. The room was just what we needed. Simple, modern, and practical. We had a king sized bed with an oceanfront balcony. View was very nice. The Belvedere South is connected to the hotel so I would definitely recommend hitting them up for breakfast in the morning. Valet service was quick and easy. Would definitely return for another stay!

What a fun hotel!My mother and I stayed here on our most recent trip to visit my brother. We got a king room with a balcony. The room is simplistic and minimalist but clean and cool. Having an ocean front balcony was wonderful.All the staff were helpful and friendly. There's no coffee machines in the rooms but we didn't mind going to lobby to get coffee/tea. They also give you each a free drink token at check in which was a nice touch.The lobby has plenty of seating, foosball, shuffle board, and a slide. My brother came over for a little and played shuffle board with us which was really fun. One downside was it was valet only parking. 11 dollars a night isn't bad but having to go to the attendant each time you needed to leave was not ideal but fine. Will definitely stay here next time I visit my brother l.

We just enjoyed the lobby activities which were very entertaining & fun! We spoke to the valet guy and he was really nice and welcoming. I really wanted to ride the slide but I didn't have the proper wardrobe on. My cousin was able to enjoy it and he went down twice. That slide has some serious speeds To provide some insight, he had some long shorts on. Afterwards he said he felt like he was wearing some daisy dukes. haha.. In the lobby is a cool Zoltar fortune telling machine like the one in "Big." A few games are available for play. There's a bar downstairs as well. They have a nice backdrop with " VA BEACH" on the wall for photo ops. It's a welcoming and fun, hip place to hang. We played tabletop shuffle board, and the bar hook & ring game. Because this hotel is oceanfront side the drinks are going to run high. It was a nice place to check out and hang.

Beautiful location and property! We are trying to visit all of the Moxys and this is my favorite so far.

Interesting place. Fits Virginia Beach. If you're looking for a standard hotel experience, this isn't your place. Location is pretty good. Pros:-check in at bar. -check in drink for your party 21 yo and older.-lobby and lower level shenanigans if you like games, sitting areas, live music -interesting room layouts. Had two doubles facing each other.-good ocean view if you choose itCons: - shenanigans a bit much- music was too loud for size of room- went an hour too longOverall a good experience.Recommended while at VB Boardwalk

10/10. This place is an absolute vibe. Perfect hotel for those who want to just relax, chill, and have a drink or two. We checked in and got a free drink token for my wife and myself. If you don't drink, you can use it for a normal drink from their snack bar. The gym is nice. There's a slide from floor 2 that goes to the lobby. The bed was comfortable. You have instant access to extra towels, blankets, ice buckets, etc. The restaurant in the hotel is an old diner style breakfast/lunch diner. We got the breakfast add on with our stay and our meals there were taken care of via hotel voucher. The food though....11/10. I got the pancake breakfast and it would give my grandma a run for her money. The lobby has games, valet keeps the cars close, the staff is friendly, and it checked every box for us. I'm 30 and my wife is 27. This hotel will be the only place we stay when we visit VA from here on out.

Super sexy spot with its own vibe that is not often found at the oceanfront. Let's face it, the oceanfront is a tourist trap. The food is usually sub par because it doesn't have to be good (tourist will eat it anyways). We locals know to NOT venture down there because there is no real character in most of the establishments there. Then MOXY hit the scene,And boy oh boy, they dispel every misnomer locals have about the ocean front. It's fun, swank, and there is an energy that you can feel. MOXY could be your go-to, after work spot. It's cool enough you would meet your friends there and before long, it's YOUR spot. It just feels RIGHT.And the giant, adult only side from the second floor is an added bonus! Did I go down the slide? OF COURSE I DID!

I had never stayed at a Moxy but I had a positive experience with this one. Moxy is an interesting hotel. Someone mentioned it as a IKEA mixed with that college dorm experience. It gives off that trendy vibe, where you should not just stay in the room but come hangout with everyone by the bar, pool, lobby area. The rooms are your basic room, nice bathroom, comfortable bed, minimalistic with a hanging folding wall table, two folding chairs, no appliances, no night stands, no closets. They're replaced by hooks to hang your items. They have this pantry locker they call the stash locker on every floor filled with towels, toiletries, irons and steamers. Standard hotel fitness center on the second floor, medium sized conference room, and a pool by the bar. Valet is available where they park your car in an outdoor lot across the street. The hotel is also very pet friendly. Everyone from staff to guests were so welcoming to my behaved pup.

Room is a bit small but functional. Love the little details and the bed was very comfy.

I really enjoyed this hotel! The vibes are great! You are greeted with a welcome drink, & can walk right out onto the boardwalk. It feels like an upscale hostel where everyone has a private room, it's a social property & the slide is a fun touch. The gym was great filled with modern equipment. The downsides are they charge for "valet" parking which is a lot just across the street & you can take it in & out yourself. Furthermore, as some people have mentioned the water pressure is lacking - especially in the hand held shower head. There's no microwave or fridge in the room either, but they have lovely balconies. Overall I would give it a 4.8, & I will be back.
