Monty's Penguin

This place feels like a restaurant you'd go with your parents to as a kid. The food of decent, not going to blow your socks off but well made nonetheless. Their ice cream is awesome and their staff is friendly.

This spot is very outdated and needs major repairs and updating. The food is fresh and extremely tasty. I have had their burgers numerous times, and they are always fresh and loaded with toppings. If I was the owner, I would make major investments to update the seating, layout, lighting, and table-side items.

This restaurant has been around as long as I remember and is a favorite please for a lot of my friends who live off of Warwick Blvd. I have eaten there many times and always feel like it is a value.

Love this place. Generations of my family have gone there to eat. The food is not fancy but omg it's so yummy. On Thursdays the special is pork chops in gravy and they just melt in your mouth! Order them. Trust me. I personally love their double cheeseburger but my mom says she thinks the Pattie's are too thin. So, I guess it's personal preference because I love them. And for sure, Monty's has THE BEST onion rings in town. If you've never been there, or if you're new to the area, understand this place is one of the oldest local "dive" restaurants adored by us locals! Some of the people who work there will give you a piece of their mind if you act up lol. We've witnessed it first hand. But those same people have worked there forever and are wonderful people. They make Monty's Monty's. So don't go there expecting a fine dining experience. This is a local diner. It's not fancy but we LOVE it. And their food is fabulous if you're looking for stick to your ribs type food. -oh, and their banana splits are the best!

On a stretch of Jefferson away from the mall nearer to Main Street there is more blight, and more small businesses. Nestled among these small Mom and Pops is Monty's Penguin . Ordered at the cash register and went to a booth. My omelette breakfast with pancakes was delivered hot within10 minutes.Great little local diner

I don't know how this place has good reviews! The pancakes are doughy and rubbery. The bacon was thinner than paper. Potatoes had no seasoning. I tried to force myself to eat it but couldn't!

Old school restaurant that has been a mainstay in the community for decades. Basic comfort food, reasonably priced. Wonderful ice cream, again, reasonably priced. If you like the ambiance of an old school diner, you can't go wrong with Monty's!

The food seems to have gone down in quality. Ate their last night service was terrible.The waitress never checked on us the whole time we were there.I had to go to counter to order ice cream, because the waitress never check to see if we needed any thing . But she did have time to B/S to several other customers. Old timer has been eating there for years,

Just had their breakfast. They are CHEAP! But the food is great. Just standard American dinner breakfast food. Exactly what I was looking for. Nothing fancy but wonderful.
