I've been to Montero's a couple times now and each time was solid. Great wait staff and hosts, clean well lit dining areas, and delicious food options. This visit I got the French Quarter and my son got the El Hefe burger. He asked for medium to medium well and it was a little over cooked but he said it was still great. We happened to come here on Valentine's Day without thinking and for their special menu they had house made donuts that tasted like churros and beignets. I grew up very near Louisiana and while I would say their other dishes that are Louisiana inspired taste NOTHING like anything from Louisiana, I would say their donuts NAIL the beignets flavor and texture. Worth a stop in to try. I'm sure you'll enjoy whatever you pick.

My boyfriend and I dinned in last night and they were able to seat us quickly even though there were a lot of reservations for big parties. We ordered the chicken poblano soup and calamari to start. For dinner we ordered the vegan Caesar salad with tofu, blackened tofu greek bites, and chipotle pasta with shrimp and bell peppers with a side of green beans. Everything tasted fresh! Our server's name was Emma and she was amazing! It was a lovely evening! We recommend Montero's for any occasion

Atmosphere: This is a more upscale classy restaurant for the local area. You can come in dressed in jeans and a graphic tee or you can show up in a suit. The dining area is clean and comfortable. We had to push the booth seats a little closer because we were both too far from the table.Food: They have a variety of options however, they seem to have more sea food choices than others. I got the prime rib which was meh...They cooked it right but it was not as tender as I would have liked. Service: Excellent, the staff is diverse and friendly. Highlight of this establishment. Overall: Really good, you should go here.

We are visiting from out of town and were super excited to find this lovely restaurant with an extensive vegan menu. The ambience is nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Once we ordered our two vegan meals, a basket of various breads and butter was brought to the table. When I finally reconnected with the waitress to ask her if any of this was vegan friendly, I was told that it wasn't and that she would bring some that was. She returned to the table to inform me that they no longer had vegan bread or butter. The menu explained that all meals except pasta dishes came with two sides but when I attempted to order two sides I was told that the vegan meals only come with one side. I ordered the vegan Caesar salad which also had a $2.50 up charge and was quite tiny for the additional price. All of the meals, not just the vegan dishes, were close to $20, so between that and the up charge, I was disappointed at all of the serving sizes. That being said, all of the food was fantastic! The manager also checked in with us a couple of times which was appreciated. I'm still giving four stars because ultimately, given the selection of vegan options and the quality of the food, we would definitely go back.

The food was delicious, portion size was great, service was amazing! We went in a little after 8pm on a Saturday and they were glad to seat us. Beautiful, clean restaurant. The vegetable pot pie was delicious!

We heard about this place from some YouTube vlogs when planning our Elizabeth City/Outer Banks trip and decided to give it a try. We made a reservation on open table but people were still able to walk up and be seated within 15-30 minutes.The restaurant is set in a nice house with many rooms, including a banquet room. The menu is very extensive and includes a lot of options, including for those that are vegetarian/vegan (which is why we selected this). Our server Dawn really cared about us and made our experience fun. I ordered the summer seafood pasta and thought it was good - they had a half and full options and I selected the half as I was not super hungry. The seafood pasta had a couple pieces of shrimp, crab, and shallots with linguini pasta. It was light (and not heavy or creamy) so I enjoyed it. It also came with a side and I selected a side saladThe menu has a ton of meat options as well. They're known for their prime rib but I wasn't super hungry to try it. Overall if you're passing through Elizabeth City and you're wanting a nice sit down place for lunch or dinner, add this to your list! Just note the days of the week they are closed!

My husband and I went to this restaurant tonight. For the first time to celebrate our anniversary, it was awesome. The food was great. Did not have to wait long to get anything. Service was very accommodating and super nice, wonderful place to go. Everything was clean. I can't say enough. It was that good and worth every penny. They made you feel really special. Even the owner came around and told us at the anniversary. It's the special touches that make this restaurant so special. And of course, the food is delicious.

The food tonight was wonderful. My husband and I are here for our 8th year anniversary. We both enjoyed the banging shrimp for appetizers, tender, spicy and perfect. Our main dish was the 6 oz prime with potatoes. We come here every year for our anniversary and will continue this amazing experience in the future. Thank you Andy and your amazing staff. As always, you all outdid yourself once again.
