Miller's Waterfront Restaurant

Went 3 times in 1 week. Go to the upstairs bar. Great experience. Nothing more to say but I need to get to 85 letters so I am continuing to write words.

The food is delicious and appropriately priced for what you are getting. The view is beautiful and it is great for lunch, with smaller crowds and an easy ability to get a table. The drinks were strong and the staff was pleasant! The Philly chicken sandwich needs to be renamed or removed from the menu, as it is a poor representation of what is eaten in the city of brotherly love

This restaurant is a must visit in Nags head, firstly for the views! We opted to sit outside and it was gorgeous. I would recommend maybe a fan to move the air a bit but great for a mild summer day.Started the meal with cheese curds. So good, you must get them!My mahi mahi was good, needed more seasoning but the mango salsa on top was great! Cooked perfectly. My husband said the tuna was good but also needed more seasoning.My lemon drop martini was great and strong!The girls enjoyed chicken tenders and fries. They also loved the views as well. We arrived around 4:15 and did not have a wait but would recommend arriving earlier as there seemed to be a longer wait after 5pm.Service was good, with an attentive waitress!

Wow! This spot was a home run on all fronts. Starting with the food: The seafood was so fresh and tender. Ordered the fried oysters, broiled scallops, and the soft shell crabs. The batters on the crabs were super light and did not detract from the flavors of each individually. The batter on the friend oysters were a bit heavier but the oysters themselves were very fresh and cleaned so well. The scallops were perfectly broiled and buttered - I got a couple with sand and harder bits but the rest were cleaned perfectly. Each dish came with mashed potatoes, a zucchini based mixed vegetable side, and the portions for each type of seafood were generous. The sauvignon blanc wine was also smooth and paired well with the dishes. Also split a lemon mascarpone cake slice which was moist, bouncy, bursting with fresh lemon flavor, and layered with light layers of mascarpone icing. Delicious!Outside of the food, the venue itself is gorgeous. Right by the water and perfect for sunset. The dock is great for waiting with a drink in hand. Didn't have any issues with mosquitoes despite being on the sound side. The service was exceptionally kind and smooth. Our waitress, Cassie, was terrific! Very quick, sweet, and multitasking very efficiently. We were seated with at least 4 other parties in the room and she was bringing bills and menus while carrying drinks and entrees on a platter all at once. The young boys cleaning the tables too after parties left also were very thorough yet efficient. Parking wasn't too bad when we came but the lot was full when we left. We arrived around 7p on a Sunday, was told we would have upwards of an hour wait, but were seated in 25 minutes, so not too bad!Pricing for the amount of seafood on dishes was really fair. There is a 3% credit card fee so consider brining cash!Overall, this place hit the mark on everything and was superb. Would highly recommend!

Miller's Waterfront made for a wonderful dinner experience. The restaurant offers a stunning view of the sound, creating a perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal. The menu is delicious, with a great variety of options that cater to different tastes. The atmosphere strikes a great balance--casual enough for a laid-back meal, but also perfect for a professional gathering or a date night. Whether you're looking to unwind or enjoy a special evening, Miller's Waterfront is a fantastic choice.

Great food, great service & what a sunset! If you're in town and love seafood then Miller's is a place you want to visit. We came for lunch and sat outside on the lower deck. Food & service was terrific. Boiled shrimp app & a crab topped burger and a crab sandwich for my Wife. But the next day we came back and sat upstairs for the sunset OMG! What a beautiful spot to catch it! I highly recommend it.

Miller's Waterfront was our starting point at OBX, and everything else was a comparison. Has the best sunset bar/view to wait for your table. We lucked out with the noisy dining room, cause we asked for first available seats which ended up being the bar area hightops. Much less noise despite the foot traffic around the bar. We got the baked scallops loaded with crab and cheese, as well as Wahoo fish with excellent sides. I'd certainly go back for dinner, but would not insist on outdoor dining since you can already enjoy the pier and bar while waiting.

Spectacular all around! As a OBX frequenter I am sad I didn't know about this place sooner! The beautiful location, amazing food, and over the top service make this place a need-to-try. Our waitress Carly was fun, attentive, and super knowledgeable about the menu! We tried the hush puppies and cheese curds for appetizers - both amazing (the hush puppies are obligatory fyi). For entrees we had the Oregon Inlet Tuna and the Gorgonzola Ribeye. Though we did not get to try any this time, the dessert menu looks fantastic. We will be back!

Coming back from Bodie lighthouse, my family wanted to enjoy seafood with a view and we stumbled upon Miller's waterfront restaurant.My actual rating was going to be 4/5 but this was superseded by an amazing conversation with our server - Abby who was just amazing,Here is the summary of my review:1. Ambiance 5/5: We visited this place in November which is supposed to be an off-season so there weren't many people here. We got a table with a gorgeous view. The place doesn't have anything fancy and is like a regular seaside shack but the view was amazing.2) Service 7/5: The server Abby was amazing and catered to all our needs especially since I was looking for vegetarian food at a seafood restaurant. She also has some of the best deer hunting stories.3) Food: 4/5 I don't remember much of the food that we had. I had roasted cauliflower which was the day's special which I liked.4) Value for Money 4/5: This is not the cheapest place so check the prices before you go but for the view and the discussion we had with Abby, this was a delight.Overall, worth a visit:Recommendations:1) Visit during sunset for a gorgeous view2) Ask for Abby and if you are good, she might shower you with her amazing life story. :)

The seafood was amazing and service was great. While waiting for our table we enjoyed live music outside and squeezed in some family pics on the dock. The only downfall was the restaurant was extremely warm, the air conditioning couldn't keep up.
