Melito's

Time to update this one. Melito's continues to be a go-to neighborhood haunt. They are true to their identity for approachable comfort food. The chili dogs remain a staple, but I also can't say enough about their meatloaf sandwich which comes with a side of spicy red sauce to apply as you will. Fires are hot and well cooked and well seasoned. The soups are generally good -- look at the specials board. Salads are generous (I love whatever Caesar dressing they are using) and desserts remain delightful. Service is always attentive.Three televisions tuned to sports, silent but easily seen.Will continue to be a regular here.

Having lived in RVA for 11 years now, I'm surprised that we've never stumbled upon this place before. This place is great! It's a total local joint...homey, great food, friendly service and reasonable prices. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. The sandwiches were big and had tons of meat on them and the kid's mac & cheese was homemade, not the usual boxed stuff. Their soup of the day was cream of crab, which was great but could have used a little more Old Bay. That's high praise coming from this Maryland native. They even have a few tables outside where you can enjoy your meal on the shaded patio when the weather is nice. Melito's will definitely be a new addition to our rotation and we look forward to our next visit.

the service here is a+++ we had a wonderful waitress who explained things and lead us to have a great time here. we had hotdogs and tried crab cakes then we also had wings and crab dip for apps - work party of 6 !!!! will be back to try more dishes !!! can't wait

The club on toasted rye was pretty good. I went during lunch at they were very busy but very efficient in handling my to go order. Friendly and hospitable. Will definitely be trying more dishes.

We love Melito's! The restaurant itself is nothing fancy but it's always a perfect place for a weekday lunch! Went Monday afternoon and had a great time! The service is always wonderful and the staff are super friendly and helpful! We allordered sandwiches and really enjoyed our meals! Pro tip - get a side of sweet potato fries - they're some of the best in RVA!

It was a very busy night. Seated quickly. Greeted promptly by our waitress, Sally. She took our order within a couple minutes. We waited for a bit but the other servers looked to see if needed anything before our food was, while Sally was taking hot food out to her other tables. My steak was good perfectly, medium rare. My partner got the BBQ ribs. The meat was falling off the bone, which was a pleasant surprise. It was a dry rub with had a balanced taste and delicious pop! Yes, it's a definite visit on our regular rotation of dinner. Great job!

A very well established "neighborhood" joint that's always up to expectations. At dinner hours especially, you can tell it's popular as it's always bustling.Nice range of options on the menu and I've never had any disappointing dishes.The fact that it's consistently busy should tell you all you need to know.

This was our first time visiting Melito's and we'll be back! Had an appointment close by and we always try to find a local establishment to eat lunch or dinner. We hit the jackpot! Service was great, food was delicious and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Prices were very reasonable for the quality & quantity of food. Highly recommend.
