Maymar Norfolk

This place is such a GEM! Small and quaint, there are a few tables if you want to dine in but most of the lunch crowd grabs their food togo. Don't let the line deter you the staff moves pretty fast serving everyone!The SMALL Pancit is small only in name and was packed to the brim. Plenty of flavor and they make sure you get a good mix of veggie and chunks of meat as well.The wings had a glorious sauce similar to sweet chili but not as much heat. Lumpia we're filled nicely and crisp and the longanisa had a great slightly sweet glaze on the outside and was juicy with an amazing flavor as well. Do yourself a favor and stop in for lunch!

Love this little hole in the wall. Not sure what all that I ordered because I didn't see any signs next to the food and it changed on the two consecutive days that I visited. I had the beef, squid, and what appeared to be some sort of intestine. If you prefer something a little less exotic, they make some bomb chicken wings! Literally the packed restaurant went wild when the chef came out with a fresh batch of cooked wings. The prices were fair and you can get a plate of rice with 2 entrees for around $13, tax included. And the portion sizes were more than generous. Expect a lot of grease so best not to make this your daily go to.

Maymar has been on Princess Anne forever!!!! It's one of those places that you have to remind yourself about, but then when you eat there food.....ask yourself why are they buried in the back of my mind when they should be in the front at all times!!!!!If I had a eat out budget everyday this would be my Monday and Thursday spot!!!Do they have anything that taste bad....ummmm no!!!!The food is already fresh hot and waiting for you to tell the little lady what you want in your tray! Right now the sweet chili wings are my fav!!!! They are cccrrraaaacckkkkkkk!!!!!!!

Maymar is my go to Filipino restaurant on this side of Norfolk! Growing up eating Filipino food, maymar makes me feel at home every time I go! It's soo important to arrive early if you want to get some of the fan favorites; the chicken adobo and the wings! Let's dive into it! Chicken adobo 8/10 - flavor is always through the rough on their adobo!! The only thing I'll say is please make sure you eat slow! There may be little fine bones for when they split the chicken! Wings 10000000/10 - I could go just for the wings alone. They're cooked perfectly! They glisten inside and have a sweet chili flavor! Lumpia 8/10 - I loveeee homemade lumpia! These with some duck sauce??!! Chef's kiss! Pancit 8.5/10 - the pancit from this location has always been good! The prices are amazing as well for pans! Overall, Maymar's in Norfolk will always be my favorite Filipino restaurant to support in Norfolk! The staff is always so friendly despite being busy from open to close! Also, I'd recommend calling in ahead of time to place an order! If you're like 15 minutes out, give them a call to make you a plate ahead of time! I always do that when I'm craving a dish that may be gone quickly!

It's only 4 stars because I ordered food during lunch that was awesome and food just 4 pm and it was not up to par. I love pancit, and the pork pancit I had before had the meat mixed in. This time, they just put a lot of it on top. This didn't bother me. The meat was just too salty. The pancit looked like leftovers. The lumpia was great. The veggie lumpia is more of a veggie egg roll. It is the best. The price is good for the quantity you get. The place is clean and in a good location. On my last visit, they were putting away inventory, so maybe that's why the food wasn't as good before, but the service was still on point. All in all I will eat there again and I recommend it to all.

By far the best Filipino restaurant in the city of Norfolk! They are clean, respectable and well known in the community by frequent customer!! Their beef and potatoes are to die for and the chicken adobo is super authentic !!!

If your reading this don't waste your time and money because the quality is horrible. They are very very stingy with their portions oily and just not good they will give you the littlest amount and charge the most too expensive to be giving that little lines take for ever overhyped for little food

Not too happy with how burnt my Lumpia is. The Pancit was ok but not a lot of flavor.
