Mathews Grill and Deli

We stopped by after hanging out at Haven Beach. Inside the restaurant was dim, chilly, & honestly smelled like cigarettes. So we ended up dining outside. The prices were all good, & the food was as well. I really liked my crab cake sandwich, it was large & filling. The sweet potatoes fries were scrumptious as well. We tried the calamari & mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were honestly better, the calamari was too chewy. I didn't try the sea food platter but the vegetables appeared to be canned & the mashed potatoes didn't look that appealing either. Furthermore, they gave free wifi too which is a huge plus as service is hard to come around in the area. Their bathrooms were clean too which is obviously a plus as well.

Need to toast sub rolls. Take sub to next level. However, their spaghetti and seafood Alfredo are very good!

Order delivery 02/19/21 and big tasty was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Greek salad with a meat Loaf sub. The delivery driver was fantastic friendly and courteous. I just relocated to Matthews and it was a pleasant surprise to find delivery. The Greek salad was fresh and high quality ingredients were used . Bravo !

I love this place. Their pizza is our favorite in town. I worked at an Italian restaurant in NJ for years and enjoy their Italian dishes. They're the only place in town that delivers-that I know of- only a 3 delivery fee.

My wife and I have frequented this restaurant for the last 7 years since moving to Mathews.. It's one of our favorite places to dine in Mathews county. The food is consistently excellent, with large portions and friendly and accommodating staff. Highly recommend this restaurant to bring your family and friends, you will not be disappointed.

We had lunch here on 3/14/2023: I had a Bacon Double Cheeseburger and my wife had a regular Cheeseburger, I also had sweet potato fries. Booth meals were outstanding and our Server was GREAT. I would definitely come here again.

Mathews Grill and Deli is a hometown gem! The staff is friendly. The food is good and the prices are amazing. From the Prime Rib to the pizza, you're in for a treat. Highly recommend.

Food was AMAZING!! Very cheap prices!!! I'm new to the Mathews area, and I just found my new favorite place to eat! I wish I could give more than 5 stars! This is amazing!!!

If you're a fan of SYSCO/USFOODS quality foods, you'll love it!Nothing local or fresh. Just an average menu with poor quality food.I knew better when I walked in: Beautiful Friday afternoon in downtown Mathews at 1:30 pm and no customers in the restaurant. Ambiance consisted of employees talking loudly to each other and on their phones. Not the quality or friendly dining experience we are accustomed to in Mathews.

Stopped in for cheeseburgers & was pleasantly surprised. Decor is worn & outdated but food was good & a value for the money. Lots of food for a family on a budget. On scale of 1 to 10 as far as taste, I give them a 9.
