Market Plus

A fuel and car wash stop was surprisingly better than anticipated. This is a corner BP that I pass daily, but have never tried. I needed a car wash ASAP and thought why not knowing quality is typically marginal at these places. The location is on the corner of Baxter and Princess Anne. Signage is great with a BP sign clearly signifying its a gas station. Access can be limited depending on your direction creating a u-turn situation. There are two air pumps and a vacuum in front. Landscaping is a bit rough, but not unsightly. The listing on Yelp was only for convenience store only which I did not utilize during the visit. John G. noted no gas category in his review 5 years ago. Pro tip if the category is not in the yelp system then add it through edit so HQ can update. That way it can be searched. I added gas and car wash. So now the business can be searched for three categories and two new ones. The pump area was immaculate and newer trash bins within their boundaries. This BP offers at least ten pumps including diesel. Both wash and towels were present. The pricing was $2.55 a gallon which is higher by 5 cents to others in the vicinity. This is typical for BP and with a discounted wash worth it to me. My card processed flawlessly and I added an Ultimate car wash at $12 per my request. There is a lower price option. A receipt generated with the wash code. The wash entrance is to the left of the building. It happened to be undergoing maintenance at the time which delayed me around 10 minutes. Luckily I was not in a hurry and first in line. However, a back up was created. The wash was better than average and takes over 7 minutes for an Ultimate when drying is included. A negative is the digital clock when drying is located inside. When pulling forward more than a quarter way you cannot see it. There are also vacuums to the side of the wash. I'm pretty impressed and shocked at their low overall rating. But keep in mind I did not go in, or have any personal staff interaction. The business has some dated equipment, but everything worked and was clean. I would recommend and anticipate using again.

Hi speed diesel is not fast on 9/16/21. Maybe a filter clogged or something going on. Has been fast other times. Waiting 7-8 minutes to get 10 gallons, crazy. Just don't have a sign that says high speed if you can't live up to the expectations.

The Harris Teeter Loyalty button never works on the pumps, I have to move around to find one that works. On days all pumps are full I have to walk inside and have an exact amount i'd like to pay. The older cashier guy is VERY rude, not helpful, and arrogant. He should not work in a customer service position. This is not the first time i'v had to deal with him or the machines not working, I gas about at least every 2 weeks. I'm going to look for another BP. I wish HT loyalty would switch over to 7-11, it may not even be worth using the points again if I have to go back Market Plus/BP to the place.

Not too bad. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The ICE IS DIRTYYYYYY!! I'm guessing they don't clean the machines often? Also I talked to an employee and she complained to me about only having the option of coffee or soda to drink . No water ?! She just had a baby and I find that extremely unfair. Not everyone drinks soda. I bought her a water bottle because the ice machine was absolutely disgusting

Like what John G. said, this is a standard BP gas station. The Market Plus has a sandwich shop when you walk inside on the left, however, in the many times I've gone here (day and night) I have never seen it open up.Also, there is a nice looking drive-thru car wash (if you're into that sort of thing). My cousin says that this place is the Mecca of toilet paper. Apparently, their brand (Kirkland's) is the best in town. I think I'll stick to Charmin for now, but if you ever run into a toilet paper emergency at 3am now you know where to go.

I have been buying gas at this station ever since Harris Teeter started their points system. The pumps at this station hardly ever work properly for the HT program. I have had to try three different pumps the last few times I have been there. The last I was there I got so frustrated I just pumped the regular price since my gas light was on. I have talked to the manager/ owner ? Twice now about his pumps not working properly. He is very arrogant and tells me he is too busy to do anything. I have asked him to come out and check his pumps but he just brushes me off.

Bought a car wash at the pump 10/26 but paid thru app. Pump gave same random error message and never printed out car wash code. I go back later that day, they tell me I need to return on Monday to see manager. I return Monday to see manager. What a Doofus! I tell him what happened and that I wasn't trying to get money back just the wash that I paid for. Tells me he sees no transactions on the pump I was on for that time. Well, maybe it was because pump gave error message and appeared to reboot (this is where my mistake was not taking a picture of the error code). You need to check with your IT to find out why the transaction isn't showing. If you pull up video from the camera, I'm sure it will confirm the pump I was on. Doofus basically accused me of lying by saying he doesn't know if I already got the cash wash. WHAT?! I'm wasting all this time lying about $10? You freakin' kidding me?! Then, after all this back and forth, he issues me a "courtesy" car wash. It really wasn't "courtesy" because I never got the one I paid for!!! He just chose not to believe me probably because I didn't look like him. I even showed him in the app where I got the gas discount based on the purchase of a car wash which he confirmed. Unless the machine just randomly gives out .20 cent discounts! SMDH. Used to be one of my regular places to purchase gas but I'm certainly not purchasing any more car washes. Too much harassment over a $10 car wash! Geez.

Stop by to put gas manager of the store was extremely rude was telling me get out of my store.I ASKED him simple question why i needed to see somebody inside not a good customer service.

I was here after the posted opening time and was patiently waiting in my car for the guy inside to get ready and he opened the door yelled out at me "we aren't open" and slammed the door and kept glaring at me until i left. Would definitely recommend going to any other gas station than this one.
